Orphan Scares Adoption Groups!!!
The adoption community has banded together to protest Orphan, a horror movie opening next Friday, in fear that it will fuel negative attitudes toward real-life orphans.
"We are concerned that in addition to its intended entertainment value, this film will have the unintended effect of skewing public opinion against children awaiting families both in the United States and abroad," says a letter from the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute to Warner Bros.
Some adoption advocates are calling for a boycott of the film, which follows a childless couple who adopt an evil child.

Warner Bros. says that it is considering adding a pro-adoption message at the end of the film when it comes out on DVD.
Jeff Medefind of the Christian Alliance for Orphans believes that because the film "seems to suggest that orphans are damaged goods, and that adoption could destroy a life," he is urging the studio to add a favorable adoption message at the end of theater-screened films and donate a portion of box office receipts to aid orphans.
We get their worries, but it's A MOVIE. It's not real-life.

Well to make the adoption people feel better, it turns out that Esther really isn't a kid. She's really 30 years old and has Webster syndrome and pretends to be a kid to move from home to home. She also happens to be a murdering psychopath. So, it's still safe to adopt children, just make sure they really are kids.
I know when I watched The Good Son I thought it must mean that my uterus, and all uteruses, were bad so I should never have a kid. Similar with this.

Adoption advocades are worried about a movie but do and said NOTHING about Madonna's and Angelina's adoption? We all know Madonna's adopted children have PARENTS, but she has the money and bought them. The same with Sahara…Angelina took her away KNOWING she has a mother.
The day the adoption advocates will condmen those rich egotistic whores for their adoption, that day, I will pay attention to what they have to said.
