Isn't it common sense to NOT leave a dog in a hot car????
Not for American Idol hopeful Quincy Vanderbilt!
Vanderbilt left his small terrier in his car with the windows rolled up while he and his girlfriend waited in line at Invesco Field in Denver, CO to audition for Idol .
When Vanderbilt returned to his car at 2 PM after waiting in line all morning, he discovered that his terrier had died!!!!
Awful!
Reports state the weather had topped 91 degrees that day, so no doubt the inside of the car was scorching hot.
We can't believe any loving dog owner would think it would be perfectly fine to leave a dog in a car for hours by himself!!!
Vanderbilt has been given a misdemeanor summons for animal cruelty. We say throw the book at him!

This just breaks my heart! i hate hearing and seeing ppl do this to there "beloved" animals! get a fucking clue ppl, if you have to go run errands and hot outside, leave your dog at home. I hate walking thru a parking lot in the hot summer afternoon and seeing a dog locked in a car with the window only cracked opened, i just wanna smash the window to get the dog sum air! i would love to be able to do the same to the owner and see how they like it!

Hmm, I'm assuming is was at a parking lot of some sort of stadium or convention center, so people must have seen the poor dog in the car. Why didn't anyone alert the authorities! I had to call the police a few summers ago, because I had seen 2 german shepards in the back of a closed in truck, and our temp fpr that day was +32C! So you can imagine the inside of the truck would be freaking warm. No wondows, no water for them!
Police came and busted in the windows, and took the dogs away! But that wasn't the 1st time this jackass had done that, the cops told me!
So he got a fine and was charged with indangering an animal aswell as never being able to own an animal again!
The bastard should be put in jail!!! Denied food and water for 24 hours
We had a case here in Alberta , Canada, where 2 teenage boys tied a poor dog to the back of a truck and dragged it behind the car until the friction pretty much detached the poor things head!
We had so much press, and the boys went to trial! There were atleast 100 protesters a day there, hoping that the boys would get jail time.
I frankly thought that they should endure the same as the dog!
But the boys of course didn't go to jail, but got fines and all that shit, and can never own an animal.
And because of Canadas young offender act, no one knows their identity and once 18 , the boys records are wiped clean!
