"Very sadly, it does not appear that she's going to be back on Idol," Paula's manager, David Soneberg, informed reporters of his client's decision to leave this weekend.
Even though Paula wants to return as a judge, AI production heads FremantleMedia and 19 Entertaiment have yet to draw up a contract for Abrool.
And shooting begins on August 6th!!!
Soneberg says the lack of an offer is "unnecessarily hurtful," and FremantleMedia and 19 Entertaiment are guilty of being "unconscionable and certainly rude" because they've left Paula hanging.
Abdul's manager even contacted the big wigs at 19 Entertaiment to let them know Paula's game for season nine of the show, but he hasn't "received any proposal whatsoever."
Both Ryan Seacreast and Simon Cowell have been offered major $$$$$$ to return to Idol, and Randy's current AI contract runs through 2011, so what gives?
"She's not a happy camper as a result of what's going on. She's hurt. She's angry," says Soneberg.

You are forgetting this show is about fans it is not about you , you are not doing the show for yourself you are doing the show for the viewers and fans , we actually love Paula and want her to stay on Idol .
I can't find one reason for this treatment of Paula . there's is no need to leave her without an answer and keeping her asking if she is coming back , she doesn't deserve to be treated this way , she is always supportive and she brings many good memories and laughs to the show .
You may feel she is not important to the show and I don't actually know why but for US fans she is so important and we want her to stay .
I support Paula now in any decision she takes though I feel deeply saddened and griefed for just thinking she might leave Idol which the reason number one why I watch the show .

It is not right to treat her this way and humiliate her because your show is huge , the reason the show is huge is fans , I now feel you are arrogant and sexiest and I can't stand you , Paula is a star even if you are treating her bad , she has number one hits she is a choreographer she accomplished a lot in her career before Idol m you didn't make Paula she was there before Idol and that's why she worked with you .
She is a perfect Judge and she knows what she is doing , I can say how many times she recognised a talented Idols before others start noticing it .

I completely agree. Kara is always sober, and can recognize legitimate talent. I DVR AI, and fast-forward through Paula's rantings. The show isn't about making people feel better about themselves. It's about finding a talented singer, and Paula is no help.

Yes, Paula is sweet…but it makes me super sad to watch her stumble over her words, and struggle to make complete sentences. She's one hell of a dancer, but often does not know what she's talking when it comes to music. I feel like they treated her terribly concerning her contract, but maybe its for the best. AI doesn't need a "nice" judge, it needs someone who tells it like it is, like Simon.
Actually I think Perez would be good on idol. You'd get the drama and you know he would make Simon really uncomfortable. I say screw Paula just put Perez on there that is enough drama to last a life time.

Every judged reality show needs different "types" of judges — if they were all like Simon , Randy, Paula or what's her face, it would be boring. Idol without Paula isn't worth watching. It's like getting rid of a musketeer. The singers have never been the reason to watch Idol — switch them out year after year and the show goes on….mess with the judges and you're messing with success.

Paula sucked last season. She rambled on and on and didn't do anything crazy. The beauty of Paula is that she brings the crazy. If season 7 Paula returned then fine, if it's last season Paula, see ya.
I liked Paula when she had her singing career but now I find her to be awkward. She doesn't contribute real advice to the contestants so they wouldn't lose anything. The only thing she does for the show is amuse people with her awkardness and goofyness. She's easily replaceable, unlike Simon, there is no one who can replace him.
