Cowell And Seacrest Have Love For Abdrool, Want Her To Stay On Idol!
Both Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacrest are more than positive Paula Abdul will be returning to American Idol next season, contrary to previous reports.
Paula's camp told the media this weekend that the Idol judge has yet to receive a contract for season nine of the show from production heads 19 Entertainment and FremantleMedia, but her AI co-stars have got Abdrool's back!
Says Simon: "She'll be fine. She'll be on the show. I don't get a lot of say. I've just made it clear that I want Paula on the show. Full stop."
Seacrest has piped up too, telling reporters, "I think as far as I know you'll see everybody back. I hope so."

She does not contribute anything to the show. I hate the way she pauses and chops up her sentences when she speaks. Go away Paula…straight up!

All of PR. Paula doesn't have 3-4 million in earning power anywhere else so this is it. If she walks away, big mistake. Takes her out of the limelight which they are all now addicted to. She'll be back.
She should have been off the show a few seasons ago because she is getting loonier and loonier. It is pretty obvious that she is on something. She also does not really critique any one. She thinks they are all going to win.

She better be back! Whether you like Paula or not, she DOES add to the show. Watching her and Simon fight is the best part! Also, I know many people who WON'T watch AI if Paula doesn't return, like all my friends and basically my entire family is addicted to AI but won't watch without PAULA. (I have so many cousins I can't even count them) If Paula doesn't return, AI's rating are gonna PLUMMET!

I honestly love Paula, I hope they don't kick her off, I love her music and she is the most fun judge on the show. Idol won't be Idol without Paula.

How can the show treat Paula like this? She is the HEART of Idol!!! I have not warmed up to Kara and find her comments dull in comparison to Paula's. Sure Paula has been a character over the years, but that is what makes her fun to watch. You never know what she is going to say but you always know that she reacts from her gut, like a true fan of pop music. She does act like Simon and give the "exec in the music business" standpoint. That's fine too, but you need a judge who can evaluate from a fan's point of view as well. She dances to the music and she feels it. She also is so kind to the contestants and points out the good parts of their performances so they can build on that (rather than just throwing them a pile of negative comments).
Come on! Let's all support Paula!
Paula has been part of American Idol since day 1 of the show. She has just got to stay on the show. I love watching Paula and Simon kid around. Paula is almost always kind to the contestants. She always has something good to say. The show worked great when it was just Simon, Paula, and Randy. They made a great team. I can understand Paula wanted more money when after Ryan got such a large increase. Come on American Idol, Paula is needed on the show as much as Ryan. The show is the #1 rated show and Paula is part of the reason. Yes, sometimes she does strange or silly things but that is what sometimes makes her so lovable and memorabl
This sounds like negotiation tactics. Quit making her sweat. I won't watch it at all if Paula is low balled or squeezed out. She's the only heart of that show.
I don't like that they do this to the woman, but the men are offered raises and are all signed up. That's bullshit. If they blow Paula's deal by dicking her around, that show will sink; mark my words. It will represent corporate America, and that will not be good. United breaks guitars, anyone?
