Futurama To Replace Entire Cast!!!
Even though Futurama is returning to television come 2010, no members from the original voice cast will be joining the show!!!
Comedy Central and 20th TV weren't able to negotiate a deal with the show's original cast, which included actors such as Katey Sagal and Billy West, because the cable network and studio refused to pony up the $$$$$$!
The studio offered the former cast "modest pay increases" from their original salaries, but all of the actors rejected the offer, leaving studio heads hunting for a replacement cast.
So lame!
Futurama creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen are expected to approach the topic at a panel during this year's Comic-Con convention in San Diego.
Groening and Cohen better prepare for a mob of angry fans to answer to!!

The voices are the only "alive" part of the show. I'd rather hear the episodes on audio than view the eps without the right voices.
Look, they were lucky to get a second Chance, AND Comedy central was willing to increase their pay from what they were getting over at Fox. Those voice over folks were idiots. They thought if they banded together they could do what the "Friends" cast did and ended up blowing their chance. They're too stupid to have the job, I'm sure the new cast will do fine.

It's not like it's the creators faults. The actors were offered an increased salary, they should've taken it and shut the hell up. A job is a job, I don't see or hear any of them doing anything else.

This story is not accurate, although it's not your fault, that's just the way it's being spun. The fact is this is all part of the negotiations to put pressure on the original cast to sign deals. Once the network put out word that they intend to replace the entire cast they can seem like they are actually serious about doing it and the voice actors will get nervous. You will see that they will all come to an agreement sooner or later.

i hope the original cast can work out a deal acceptable for all. they are the soul of the show! the fans are the ones that woke up the execs to the value of the show that resulted in it coming back.if you take away what fans love, you have nothing.
The show isn't even on yet and people are already saying "not watching" This is why it want work because idiots and their negative attitudes won't give it a chance. Even if the voices sound identical to the original cast, morons will still say they don't like it just because they know what happened..I hope it does well. (I will still watch it)

This is a shame, but I'm just happy that it's back. Even if the voice actors are different, the writers are the same. That makes all the difference.

The magic in this show along with the fun stories is the voice actors themselves! They make the characters come alive and the original cast is Fantastic! I can't imagine this show being any good without them. What if when they brought Family Guy back they replaced every voice actor- the show would totally suck! That's where this is headed. I have to admit, I'm unlikely to watch- and I WAS looking forward to it's return. How disappointing. To say the least….

If they keep dragging the cast back then they deserve a raise! There old contracts are from 2003, the movies are separate. I hope they just scrap it and keep the show's reputation in tack.

Well, I WAS excited! Who the hell can replace Katey Segal? And as a huge Howard Stern fan, Billy West, that voiced a ton of the characters on the show, is a great voice actor that I can't imagine whom they'd replace him with…..??
