Tarnished former Miss California, Carrie Prejean, has landed her very own book deal!
Of course she has!
Standing Still is due to hit bookstore shelves in November through Regnery Publishing, who tout themselves as the leading conservative publisher in the US.
Regnery say Prejean's book will be a tell-all about "how she has been forced to battle the left's double-standard on free speech and the bias against conservatives who stand up for their beliefs."
Can we give you a blurb on the back cover, bb???

I'm pro-gay marriage, but do think that this girl was dethroned due to policial reasons. I realized this as I wa watching the Jackson 5 movie on VH1 and was watching Venessa Williams running around. She was the first black Miss America when much of the country was still publically, vocally racist and she lost her crown because naked pictures surfaced. This was a huge scandal at the time and being that she was black they just booted her right out the door. Now that every celebrity has a sex tape, we would hardly have thought twice about it. One of the bigger issues now is gay marriage. Because this girl is anti-gay marriage, they are finding ways to boot her out the door.

I won't buy the book but it does seem that if you don't hold the "open-minded" view, you are persecuted. I don't agree with homosexuality or gay marriage, but do like many gay people that I encounter. I also don't agree with smoking, but I like many people who smoke. Same thing.

I personally dont think a question about gay marriage has anything to with becoming miss america and should not have been allow for that contest.
