    Wow! Haunting is an understatement! This version gives you a whole new perspective on the song. Beyonce's version sounds (as it was intended) like a love-struck woman… Antony & The Johnsons' sounds like a heartbroken lover who just can't come to grips with the break-up and is trying to explain the way his partner makes him feel, with such pain and emotion behind every word!

    This version is FAR SUPERIOR to the original! Way to go!! :)

    It reminds me of Ryan Adam's remake of Wonder Wall, being that the pop version really masks the true beauty of the song and lyrics. Kudos to Antony and the Johnsons' for seeing the potential in the song!

    Antony and I lived in the same building in nyc for years. He is the sweetest, shyest, man. Soft spoken and gentle. I will always luv him. And his voice is the perfect revelation of his soul.

    I saw them perform on Letterman and my boyfriend and I were initially like "WOAH WTF" but part way through the performance my boyfriend said "You know I don't completely hate this"…If anyone lets appearance get in the way of emjoying such fucking talent then it's their loss…..I am thrilled you posted this, I wanted to look more into him and couldn't remember the name…Thank You =0)

    Wow, I love music and really hated this. Who cares what he looks like, he sounds like a sick cat on this song. The ONLY thing that saved the original from its boring, repetetive lyrics was the dance beat. This is a cover song to slit your wrists to. Not a fan.

    Based on that 'P.S.' in the post, I would say that Perez Hilton has a problem with Antony's appearance, homophobic hypocrite that he is.

    Good voice, but it is stupid and pretentious to match those lyrics with that type of arrangement - makes no sense. Also, very cliche - like those 'very special' performances on the Grammys which invariably involve classical orchestras and gospel choirs.

    Only a true talent such as Antony can take a shitty beyonce song and unearth something magical out of it. If you ever see his show, he sometimes does an equally haunting version of "I Will Survive".
