Despite all the dramz, Katherine Heigl is back at Grey's Anatomy, although, as expected, the reception was not too friendly.
Speaking with David Letterman, Heigl said, "Our first day back was Wednesday and it was — I’m going to keep saying this because I hope it embarrasses them — a 17-hour day."
Yikes!
It's just like middle school!
And Heigl is like the bitchy popular girl without her best sidekick, T. R. Knight.
She lamented, "it was a little weird because [T.R.]’s not there anymore."
She wouldn't, however, comment on the fate of her character, though Letterman surmised, "if you’re working 17 hours, that means you’re not dead."
To which Heigl replied, "What if, however, Dave, I was in a bed in a coma for 17 hours, they could do that to me."

I will admit I wasn't aware she was making a joke. I'm not ashamed to admit I made a mistake. I still believe her joke was made in bad taste. She may have found her comment funny, but for those people who find themselves unemployed because of the bad economy, they might not have found it so humorous. My brother and his wife just recently lost their jobs, so comments like the one Ms. Heigl made have a tendency to make me a tad angry. It’s a LOT of repetitive motions as well as LONG hours saying the same lines over and over again for ONE scene. It’s not like one take and they are done, it takes a while and a LOT of energy and it takes it’s toll on people. People always complain that stars have it easy, and yeah in some ways they do. But what they get in money, they lack in privacy, and a personal life.

I had a friend who was a grip on The Shield and he told me a LOT about the long hours he had to stay on set and even the LONG hours the ACTORS had to stay on set. Also I just want to say that it’s hypocritical of you to say “you don’t have to insult people who don’t agree with you.” when you’re pretty much doing the same thing to the actress at hand as well as supporting a disgraceful celebrity web blogging abomination who made his fame by insulting other people who don’t agree with him. I guess that’s hypocrisy at it’s best eh?
From the above post, there is no way to know that KH was joking. We cannot see her facial expressions, hear her voice or see Dave's reaction. We are simply reading a script. There is nothing in the blurb above that suggests KH was doing anything other than complaining about a long workday. If she was kidding, then so be it. Again, no reason to disparage others' views and to call them names. I cannot speak for other people on this blog, but I am very well educated and I'm very much aware of how difficult the entertainment industry can me. I am not idiot, and I know what I'm talking about. Have a good night, I'm signing off of this topic.

You’re kidding right? I mean I really do hope you’re kidding because I pray that people are not this dense that they can’t see or HEAR a joke when they see it. If you or any nay sayer actually bothered too look UP the actual segment and HEAR the interview, anyone can see that she was obviously joking on her interview. I mean that’s what usually happens with comedy late night shows. They tend to JOKE around. On the David Letterman show none the less. See this is what happens when you take Perez Hilton’s word for it. You DON’T see everything or HEAR everything. She mentioned BEFORE the so called “complaint” that she truly enjoyed working on GA and even AFTER the “Complaint” that it was great to be back on Grey’s Anatomy. I mean that alone is a pretty dead give away. Oh and let’s not forget that it was stated on the DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW. I mean if you take anything seriously on a SATIRE COMEDY Show, then I really am concerned for you.

And sorry but from what you have show me, it tells me that you guys don’t KNOW what they are talking about. I don’t think anyone here is aware of how LONG one episode takes to film. One SCENE of an episode could take almost a half a day from re-shoots, to finding a different setting the last minute. As well as the privacy that she and every other star that Perez Hilton pisses on. Again the money and perks are definitely a huge advantage, but you’re still sacrificing your own private life for that. It’s certainly something to consider. Also who says I am infuriated? In fact if anything, I'm here because the people here DON'T feel the way I do. That's mostly due to the fact that their chronic stupidity doesn't allow them to process the simple logistics of sarcasm or Jokes. This is all for mere entertainment as far as I am concerned. Plus keep in mind I’m only posting in THIS thread for the most part, I haven’t even ventured out or cared to visit the rest of this site.
Also before the night is over, I want to ask a question to everyone here who doesn't like my comments for the reason of insults and what not. If you guys are chastising me for insulting you guys for a difference of opinion and what not, what makes you so different? Aren't you insulting KH for stating something that's an opinion? Aren't you all insulting Carrie Prejean for stating an opinion that Perez Hilton didn't agree with? Or how about supporting and aligning yourself with a braggart who made his entire fame and fortune off of insult other celebrities and those who don't agree with him? Trust me when I say this, you guys are no different than the fat pink haired fascist prick you all support.

No the epic fail is just on your end. I proved mine, you have yet to prove yours. Maybe if you took the time and READ my comment about looking UP the interview as well as my explanation, you wouldn’t write such asinine tomfoolery. Since you obviously didn’t pick up what I said the first two times, maybe the third one is a charm. I mentioned how she initially said it was great to be back ON the show hence negating the idea that what she said about working 17 hours a day was a complaint. If it WAS a complaint she would’ve mentioned that first and have a sour tone to it. But the fact that she ENJOYED working on the show and stated such in the beginning And in the END of that comment totally disproves that she said was a complaint. Fact number one. Fact number two is that it was on the DAVID LETTERMAN SHOW. A show in which comments like that are NOT taken seriously at all. Even David Letterman himself was having fun with the comment as was she. That was a stone cold give away and the fact that you can’t see that makes you ether a retard, or just a stupid person who lacks common sense. Again since you’re contradictory post above me is laughable at best, I’d go with the latter.

Third and foremost, she JOKED about it at a previous interview with Regis IN a joking manner PRIOR TO the David letterman in a CLEAR and OBVIOUS joking manner. That wasn’t an assumption. Any idiot could tell her comment wasn’t joking. Which excludes the people supporting Perez Hilton. Again the collective intelligence within the Perez Posse is equivalent to that of a termite so, I’m not really that surprised of your idiocy.
