Jackson Family In Turmoil Over Michael's Will

Never a moment of peace!
Katherine Jackson, Michael's mother, has hired attorney Londell McMillain to contest the appointment of the co-executors of Michael's will - much to the dismay of the rest of the family.
Michael selected longtime advisors and friends John Branca and John McClain as executors, but Joe has convinced Katherine to take legal action in order to alter Michael's wishes.
Joe is cut out of the will anyway!!
What does he care?!
The family, sans Randy, Joe and Katherine, is worried that the dispute will rack up legal fees causing the estate to suffer.
We just hope Janet gets the kids!!!

I dont knpow what to think about Branca and McClain- MJ never updated the will in seven years. MJ didn't update the Will during the trial? Strange.
MJ fired Branca and McLain after thewWill was drafted in 2002 and hired them back three weeks before he died but MJ also said he didn't trust Branca in 2006 and Leonard Rowe said on GMA that MJ told him he didn't want to re-hire Branca.
Oh, and Branca keeping the WILL (after he was fired) in his safe for seven years. you make a will in 2002 and name people that you later fire to be theexecutor of your estate … why would you have people you haveterminated remain in control of your finances, should you die ?? Anew will would have been drafted or the old one amended. Let's say, for some strange reason, that scenario never happened andyou hire the same people seven years later. Immediately uponre-hiring them, you decide that you again want them to be in controlof your matters, in the event you die. If you never changed the will,they are still on record as being in that capacity already. Nothingneeds to be amended, altered or drawn up…Right?? Why then do those two men provide a letter, dated the same monthMichael died, stating his wishes that echo his last will andtestiment ?? Why the over 'KILL' ?? pardon the pun. branca HAD the will in his safe….? he were fired seven yrs ago. u,like most people, would assume u were no longer tied to him or hadanything to do w/ him so y hold onto it for so long?
If the judge, the executors, and their lawyers, are any good at all, they'll ask the judge, and he'll agree, to set aside 60% of the holdings, and let Joe, Katharine and "the family" fight about everything else… which would be Katharine's 40%. If Katharine realizes that she's endangering HER inheritance and can't make Michael's kids and his charities part of her "empire," she'll settle down.
I really don't get how some people are that greedy and that stupid. She stands to inherit, MINIMUM, $200 Million. Right now. She will also inherit 40% of all future earnings of the estate. That will probably reach billions, yes billions. And she can set up a trust to receive them, maybe into perpetuity. That trust can distribute her estate to her heirs, after she dies.
Michael is an international phenom, even bigger than Elvis was. Katharine isn't dumb. She just wants to be accomodating to her kids. They'll all get a piece of Katharine. By having physical custody of his kids, Katharine also gets child support over and above her 40%.
BTW: Janet cannot "get the kids" without breaking the will. The only outside chance she has, is if a judge gives her "temporary custody" while things are being deliberated.

I hope they contest and the will snaps shut and leaves everyone but the children nothing.
These people don't seem to be grieving as much as bucking for publicity and money grubbing.
In my opinion, Janet or Rebbie should raise them. I hope the interest is in the kids, and not the money, but it probably won't swing that way. Those poor children…

before the custody proceedings can go on, the ID of the bio parents must be established - results of DNA tests can change everything - and I would not be surprised if a more recent will surfaced
Joe Jackson is one disgusting man. I couldn't get beyond the first five minutes of his interview with Larry King. Since Michael's death I can see by Joe Jackson's actions exactly why Michael wanted to get as far away from him as he could.
The will is Michael's wishes and the family should abide by what it says. I don't get why you all want Janet to get the kids I personally think she is a little eccentric herself and if she wanted kids she would have had some of her own already, I really dont think Janet wants to be a mom she is being bullied into it. the best guardian for the kids is the grandmother
MJ fired the people who executed the will. That's the truth and Mj also once said he dont trust Branca. No one is contesting the will.. they may contest the trustees of the will. Questions on whether MJ wanted these people who he had dismissed from his life.

Absolute best thing for those kids would be to be adopted out to strangers across the globe somewhere. Leave their "legacy" behind and get out of media spotlight.

Duh. Joe cares BECAUSE he's cut out of the will. He won't get a penny if Branca and McClain handle the estate, but he can manipulate the hell out of Katherine if she's in charge.
I saw a small bit of that reality show the Jacksons were trying to sell, And Joe and Katherine are still together, She said she spends time with him in Las Vegas, And he spends time with her at the Jackson compound!
Joe is looking at those kids to see what one has talent!
They need to be taken far away from the reach of Joe, And if that means Katherine not having custody, So be it!
Both Joe and Katherine are in denial about the abuse that went on in that home!… She supports him, And he supports her!

It's kind of a hard situation for the family I'm sure. I want to believe that Katherine is trying to do the best thing and do what Michael would want, and ultimately, that's what should be thought about through everything. Like it was said, there's conflict cause he did do the will a while ago and there have been conflicts since then, but the will also said to take what was passed to them away if they challenge it. I dont know…I think Katherine is trying hard to do the right thing for her son, Joe is brutal, and I think the kids would be better off with Janet. But the kids should have their thoughts and feelings heard of where they want to live, this is a dramatic stage in their lives. It would just be horrible if something happened to Katherine because of her age, what would happen with the kids then? Would it be another battle?

Well…that's the other fight that's going on right now. A lot of people want him to be burried in Neverland and turn it into something similar to Graceland but the neighbours don't want that. Katherine also said that she doesn't think that Michael would've wanted to burried there because of all the bad memories that happened while living in the house. There is fights about everything right now.
I agree that he needs to burried very soon, it's been wayy too long. But I think Katherine is trying to do the right thing for her son.
