Neverland Neighbors Protest Development!!!

Finally, people NOT looking to make money off Michael's death!!!
Residents of Los Olivos have organized to stop any attempts in turning Michael Jackson's former home into a tourist attraction.
Neighbors of Neverland Ranch formed a group called "Never!" which is concerned that the commercialization of the property would disturb the peaceful nature of the area.
Spokesman for the group Bob Field believes that the area does not have the roads, police or infrastructure to support a tourist attraction.
Although property co-owner Thomas Barrack has not proposed developing the site, his actions have become suspicious.
"We have received mixed messages, some reassuring, some troubling," said Field. "We'd like clear, concrete signs that there are no plans to pursue turning this into a tourist attraction."
Barrack recently welcomed dozens of local politicians and opinion leaders to Neverland for tours, followed by luxurious breakfasts or barbecue dinners.
Staff members even gave away baseball caps embroidered with "Neverland 2009" to guests!!!
Look out Los Olivos!!!
There's sure to be a circus coming your way!

wtf
So glad that "Chester the Molester" is gone!
Re: tokyodildo – /Exactly how many people are going to care when you're gone?
Why not turn it into a toursit attraction similiar to "Graceland"? Ton's of people would pay alot of money to see where MJ spent some of his happier years. Although a great deal of bad stuff happened there as well, those kids need trust funds once the Jackson family blows all the rest. They have PROVED they do not know how to manage money. So I so do what ever turns a profit.
Re: c h a d s t e r – More than you, fucktard.
fuck those neverland neighbors. there will be a neverland for all of us. fuck them and their selfish racist selves. they just dont want ppl of color going up there.
Fuck the neighbours! They should have thought about their "privacy" before moving in next door to the king of pop! Neverland to graceland!!!
Re: tokyodildo – Fucktard? Wow, what a comeback. I think that your hatred towards Michael stems from the fact that you will never in your own pathetic life experience the love, respect, and success that he obtained. At least not if you continue to be blinded by hatred and things you lack the courage to seek the truth about.
Re: captonhowdee – YEAH!
The neighbors will NEVER allow it. It's been said that the whole shebang should be dismantled and moved to Vegas. That's not bad, but how about move it to Gary, IN???
Re: tokyodildo – wat an idiot beleives everything u hear!! do ur research!! no evedence was ever found!! how dumb can u be!! with the name tokyodildo ur not convinsing anyone LMFAO!!! i have a feeling ud jump off a building if some one told u!! ha
Re: tokyodildo –
Wow, Brainiac… what an intelligent response!
SCREW the rich snobs of Los Olivos and their self serving "NEVER" group! Neverland should be turned into a combination of Disneyland, Wallyworld, Motown Museum, Barnum & Baily Circus and Graceland. Michael would have wanted it that way and the infrastructure could be paid for by profits from the future tourist mecca.
Hmm, but the asshole neighbors in Los Olivos would not mind if tourists come up and visit their wineries, vineyards and dairy operations? They never liked the Black Man behind the gates bringing all the dark kids up on Saturdays for vists from inner city LA. It was always a witch hunt by Sneddon and his gang. Maybe they can recoup the 10-20 million or so he wasted on the investigations and trial by opening up Neverland to the public. Losers in that County, I swear. RIP Mike…they beat you down bro.
I really would love to see it turned it into a Graceland type memorial/museum. He is beloved to the world just as Elvis was and people are just as curious about the ranch as they were/are about Graceland.
Oh please! They're all snobs! If they want a "peaceful nature" then move up north cuz there's no such thing in So Cal. Duh!
They should get used to the circus or sell now because a shrine to Jackson is the natural outgrowth of an extraordinary life a la Elvis.
hey YUCK and BEEGIRLL, why is it that everyone sho is OF COLOR thinks that EVERYTHING is ABOUT COLOR??? I am so so sick of this argument? I am not of color, and I do not see color as an "excuse" for anything, whether that is you using it as an ecxuse for why you can't suceed, or using it as an excuse as to why I got a promotion instead of you. FUCK THAT. Just be a GOOD PERSON, go to SCHOOL, get a GOOD JOB, and then rely on your own FUCKING MERITS, and quit blaming others for your failures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah…I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the colour of people…it's probably more to do with the volume of media, press, and people that would be there all the time.
It would be an awesome way to make sure he lives on forever like Elvis will. He truly made music and dance moves what they are today. He deserves something like that!
That's not freaking fair! I've always wanted to at least SEE what Neverland was like.
I would love to see neverland ranch, screw the neighbors if they don't like it they can move!!
these neighbours along with the mj haters will proberly be the first ones to go through those gates at neverland given half the chance.
seriously….
i mean living next to the greatest entertainer the world has ever known you have got to expect to see abit of activity.
brace yourselves los olivos… mj`s army of worldwide fans will be on there way!!
Ha Ha Zumagirl, I am WHITE as snow and quite successful thankyou… but , I am also smart enough to call this one the way I see it. I used to live close to Los Olivos…I know how those snobs operate. The locals did not like the happenings at NL and kept pushing Sneddon till he finally could sequester the grand jury with SOMETHING to trump up on MJ… but they had no case. Eventually they ran Mike out of town, which is what they wanted all along…get him one way or the other. Kill the monster, even if he is harmless.
I am one of the Los Olivos neighbors who so object to any proposed development of the ranch into another Graceland. This should not happen to our bucolic little town. We moved up here to get away from the crowds, congestion and crime of cities.
The past few weeks has brought the sleaziest of freak fans and media to town. We do not have the roads, businesses or room to facilitate such a project and accomodate the crowds. It would destroy my lovely little country town - Jackson is not worth it!
I just read these stupidly unintelligent comment posts. This is not a racial thing at all, it is about not being able to handle that type of traffic or crowds that would be here. there is only a 2 lane highway, and a single road through town leading to the ranch. there is only 1 very expensive hotel and two small restaurants. btw, most of the people in town lived here long before he bought the ranch - so he moved his circus into our quiet community and distrubed the peace. We were glad when he left - and he should stay gone for good.
Re: captonhowdee – yup, would be somthing cool for fans, specially for someone like me who never got a chance to meet him ;0(
Re: cherriebomb – urrrhhhh, that just confirms how stuck up you residents of michaels neighbourhood really are…
who cares who moved in first, dosnt give you the right to say who can visit the area,
and if as you say michael disturbed your precious peace when he moved in then you should be used to it by now shouldnt you.
for as long as neverland is there his fans will flock there, whether the gates are open or not.
if you dont like it, then go and move to somewhere with private access only, its a free world and people can travel wherever they please.
if it had been that bad living next to a megastar you should have moved away long ago. no good complaining now!!
i for one and coming and there is noting you can do to stop me!!! HA!!!
WOOHOO!!!! NEVERLAND HERE I COME!!!
once again, this is not about snobbery or race. It is about over-development, traffic and crowds that cannot be handled here. this is not memphis and simply cannot handle it the influx of crowds and constant unrelenting traffic. btw, Michael was not all that good a neighbor either. he left tons of bills in the valley, businesses unpaid for services and working employees unpaid for months. workers that lived paycheck to paycheck and then were left without jobs. all the while he was shown on tv spending millions on shopping sprees. there two sides (or more) to everything. he was talented yes, but not a great neighbor and obviously a very troubled human being with lots of issues. when our state is in economic crisis, why should we pay for extra services such as road maintanence, police and the like. why should LA have to pay 4 million+ for what it cost for the funeral??? let the estate pay for it.
Re: tokyodildo – Dildo, You did not hear that he was aquitted?
Re: sunsett – Why don't you and the rest of the neighbors move to Gary IN?
Re: cherriebomb – You are not worth your opinion. When you die, we will remember that.
Re: cherriebomb – Well then Cherriebomb, the influx of money from Neverland will more than cover it. Move somewhere else where someone will care when you die.
Re: cherriebomb – You are disturbing the peace on this post.
Re: cherriebomb – LA is not your problem. I forked out the bucks to pay for it. Now please take your snobbish racisit ass somewhere else.
Re: cherriebomb – workers that were unpaid? would these be the same workers who were taking liberties and freeloading off of michael? would these be the same workers that betrayed him and lied in court?
yes your right, there IS two sides to every story.
and you say its not about snobbery, give me a break, you have just labelled michaels fans as sleazey and freakish, people you know nothing about!
you are another one who is way too quick to judge!
let me tell you, a friend of mine flew out to LA for michaels memorial and then went on to neverland and there is nothing freakish or sleazy about him, he is a lovely working class guy who happened to be devasted that his hero had died.
god, just awell michael couldnt go out on his own in public, i would hate the thought of him mingerling around town with the likes of you.
thats where you and michael are so different, he didnt care who people were or what part of the world they came from, he always welcomed them.
at the end of the day, its NOT your town, you just live there so get off your high horse and stop thinking your above the rest of us.
Listened to him pretty much all day today! So much of his music on your D!
no - these were hardworking people who could not make their house payments, or buy xmas presents for the kids during christmas because they were unpaid for months. I bet his kids didn't go without for the holidays - but many other families did. If the language and attitudes that have been displayed here are typical of the type of person that would flood to this valley, if the property was commercially developed, then you have displayed for yourself why the citizens of this town do not want such a development in the valley. I am not the only one that feels this way, the majority of our township feels this way. This is our town, we pay the taxes here and we do have the right to oppose anything that would radically change the charm and atmosphere that we cherish.
Re: cherriebomb – ooooooh i cant wait to see this charm and feel this atmosphere that you so cherish…
im even more excited about coming now
michael has stated publically that he wanted Neverland to be more accessible to the public. What the will states about Neverland is going to happen and whoever inherits the estate will ultimately decide and most of the people in his life were interested in money because they are also inheriting debt. and ZUMA GIRL your comment on relying on merits makes perfect sense but you can't possibly imagine what it is like to live in color.
Re: cherriebomb – Cherriebomb, I take offense to your post: "If the language and attitudes that have been displayed here are typical of the type of person that would flood to this valley, then you have displayed for yourself why the citizens of this town do not want such a development in the valley." By "attitudes," do you mean that we enjoy having black people as friends and neighbors? Your racist, elitist tone makes me sick to my stomach.
Re: cherriebomb – Cherriebomb, perhaps readers of this post would think you were less snobbish you didn't refer to them as "stupidly unintelligent." The "freaks" comment you wrote was over the line too.
I would deff turn NeverLand into a memorial to Michael .. IF you think its what he wanted. If he in fact never touched any kids then that place brings back bad memories for him and thats why he left……………..on the other hand. That place has brought happiness to many families and children alike.I had always wanted to go there myself. It looked like nothing I had ever seen. who cares what the neighbors think.Rich snobs burn in hell……
It's a not-in-my-backyard thing being spun as a 'peaceful nature of the area' thing. I can't say I blame them if they live close by and like peace and quiet.
How would you like to live next to Jackson Graceland? Someone would really have to sweeten their pots for their approval. In these economic times, many would see it as a godsend. Tough call.
Los Olivos is always bitching about something. They didn't even want a dog kennel/daycare in their area. Dorks.
Re: cherriebomb – You are missing the point. I thought I told you to go away. Sibiria? I passed through there on the TransSiberia. It is nice and quiet. You will like it.
