The hip hop star has tapped the boys from MGMT to appear on his new album, The Blueprint 3, out this fall.

What do U think that'll sound like???

Jay-Z's album will also feature collaborations with Rihanna, Kid Cudi and Rihanna's boy toy Drake, just to name a few.

      MGMT isn't cool enough for Jay Z. Jay Z is wayy too established to be collaborating with up and coming artists. MGMT is a sick band, but they aren't as cool as everyone says they are. Hype band for sure.

      Jay Z appeared briefly on Fall Out Boy's second to last album. It's cool that he's branching out and not strictly working with rappers & hip hop artists. I like when artists blur the lines.

      Jay-Z has always intrigued me Lyric-wise, but since he became such a "BusinessMAN" I think he has lost perspective on the "art" a little…I almost think him and Beyonce sit down and strategize how to be "creative" using a business model.

      I don't know if tagging onto/biting off the style of up-and-coming artist to remain relevant is the way to go.

      It comes off as un-authentic…like his "Geek Chic" glasses he adopted after they are damn near played out…

      BUT! MGMT "wants to live in castles", so this may be their ticket….

      I hope the collaboration is one of mutual admiration and natural synergy….
