Pittsburgh QB Accuser Tried To Report Assault
She tried to report it, but apparently was humiliated more for it.
That sucks!
Andrea McNulty, the woman accusing Ben Roethlisberger of sexual assault, claims that she tried to file a report with the head of security, Guy Hyder , at the Harrah's hotel, but he simply ignored her. In fact, according to her claim, when she told Hyder, he insisted that she was "over-reacting" and that "most girls would feel lucky to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger."
Ugh! That is the reason so much of this stuff goes unheard of.
He also advised her to keep her mouth shut as her job was dependent on it, considering that the president of the hotel, John Koster, is a big Steelers fan. In her claim, she says Hyder told her that their boss would be impressed if she had slept with the QB: "Koster would love you even more if he knew about this … Koster would suck his dick if Roethlisberger let him."
In the lawsuit, the young woman claims she hoped the incident would have been investigated by hotel security, but Hyder "did not do his job of investigating the assault." Andrea McNulty also claims she was "afraid of the consequences of going to police authorities since it was obvious to her that Harrah's and it's personnel … would side with and support Roethlisberger."
Wonderful world we live in, huh? But, then again, it's all hearsay for now. She still could be making up this elaborate story just for a few bucks.

She's also claiming that sometime after the incident that other employees of the hotel went to her house, broke in and stole files off of her computer to hide this "crime." What?! I was the sexual harrassment liason between my company and the employees. They are supposed to come to me if they feel that they have been sexually harrassed. If the harrassment is physical or the threat of being physical, then it goes beyond just sexual harrassment. I tell everyone in the yearly meeting to call the police right away, don't bother to inform anyone from the company other than the receptionist that the police are on the way. Tell the police where you are in the building and that you fear for your safety. When everyone knows what the rules are and how co-workers are going to deal with inappropriate touching, they behave themselves. You can hide a sexual harrassment investigation and firing away from family, but not when they have to pick you up from the police station.

That's not correct. That's only applicable to children or if the adult is considered incompetent. She wouldn't be considered incompetent. Victims have a lot of confidentiality regarding sexual assault, though California has a different set of rules…but she's not in California.

Tough one to call, I think that both parties are not 100% innocent. I have read that this was not the first time they had been together. I suspect he was trying to get back in the sack with her and she didn't want to. If so, he should be taught that no means no and a civil suit would do that. At this point without any firm facts, throwing out labels like 'gold digging whore' is completely uncalled for. I agree with many of the posts here that these type of labels make it very difficult for women to come forward. Someone recently said 'Violence is never an answer' (can't remember who…) after being wronged. Would it be taken well by this person to be labelled a 'Sympathy Seeking Leech' for such actions? I think it sucks when a conversation about sex or having sex turns into assault. It doesn't seem like she was raped, groped or even fondled. It seems maybe Ben had a little too much to drink and asked her to boink him. To me, NOT ASSAULT. Even the comment by the Head of Security? That is what most normal people would say to something like that.

The accuser also did a rape kit which revealed evidence of the rape, and a voluntary polygraph test. Her blood was even found on some piece of clothing (forget which). So much evidence in fact, that there was a criminal trial., which by all evidence considered, would have found him guilty. This woman has no evidence, and a history of mental illness (which while not an excuse, comparing it to everything else, it becomes relevant) and has inconsistencies in her story. She has named no witnesses to back up any of her story at all, including her own parents.
