Illness Forces Jane's Addiction To Cancel Australian Tour!

Oh no!

Jane's Addiction have canceled the Australian leg of their first world tour in 17 years due to ailing drummer Stephen Perkins.

The percussionist has been admitted to the Infectious Disease Ward at El Lay's Cedar's-Sinai Hospital for treatment of an infected elbow.

"I know how excited we were to come play in Australia, and how long the fans there have waited for this. I want everyone Down Under to know that we will come back as soon as we can," said frontman Perry Farrell.

Perkins is expected to make a full recovery in the next few weeks, but is being held for further diagnosis and observation.

Yum, Perez, I love you and all but you need to correct the bands pic. Flea is not in the band. You should have one with Eric Avery, the original bass player. I KNOW… i am being anal.

Wow, that's gotta be hard, being rehearsed, ready and all jacked up to tour and then having to cool your jets. Drummers and elbows just have to be looked after.
I guess they could write/crank out a bitchin' CD with all that stored creativity and then promote a track or two when they resume touring. Cripe, imagine hitting the skins with an infected elbow. Owww.

This was so fucked up! I had tickets to Splendour just so see them and they cancel 24 hours before they are supposed to play??? The Living End filled in great though!!
