      With the whole economical crisis, nothing is going to happen over night. What do you people expect!? He even said it would possibly take more than a term in office to turn the economy around and for things to be up and running like they once were. Give the guy a chance to fix things.

      Give him some time. He can't magically fix everything in a few months. Expectations have been raised so high for him - of course they are not going to be met instantly, and that is partly our own fault for setting the bar ridiculously high. Also remember that there are a lot of people making decisions - don't heap blame on one man. The polls would be the same or lower for anyone in his position.

He lies about his health care plan, saying what he thinks people want to hear, even though all the bills being considered say the opposite. The economy was starting to crack before Bush got into office due to government mandates (Carter and Clinton administrations) that made the banks lighten up their credit standards for people who couldn't afford a home. Obama was in bed with the Freddie and Fannie Mae who backed these mortgages. Bush tried regulate the "macs," but Barney Frank (who was sleeping with one of the "mac" people by the way) as well as other senators did not think there was a problem . . . too much self-interest. People, the only thing you are "entitled" to in this country is opportunity.

      I have enjoyed reading the comments to this post. It's amazing how people blindly follow their own parties and philosophies so blindly. The country is never going to move in a more progressive direction if both sides spend all their time name-calling and arguing while politicians do as they please, you'll never notice anything. Did Bush cause a lot of problems, yes. Is Obama going to fix them plus all of the problems the US faces that have nothing to do with Bush, no. The American people are the only ones who can enact change in this country and it's about time to stop putting your faith in any politician. Both parties are more concerned with their own reelections and appeasing the special interest groups that fund their campaigns than they are with any of us. The answer isn't more federal government control and we wouldn't survive with an unregulated free market economy. Why can't we all take personal responsibility and not spend beyond our means, that's what got us into the financial mess in the first place. You can blame Bush if it makes you feel better, but we only have ourselves to blame when it comes to the economy (though the politicians in both parties certainly didn't help). We haven't stood up nearly enough against the wars and we haven't championed civil rights. These are the results of complacency.
