She doesn't sing this as good as Gwen but it's personal and real for Gwen and this chick hasn't put the emotion into the song. She's got a decent voice but I agree with a previous comment, you shouldnt touch this song. Unless you're gonna powerhouse it.
Great voice, but Gwen puts more emotion into it.
She sounds nasal and detached. There are worse versions of this song out there, but No Doubt is still head and shoulders above the rest.

REPLY TO M&M'SBABIIE_DOLL; It's refreshing to see someone else who can appreciate REAL talent. No comment on her rendition of the NoDoubt song, but people can't appreciate a soulfull classic voice. Her style is rooted from the great's like Billie Holiday, no surprise that mainstream can't except real talent. I myself can appreciate more in an Artist who has PURE RAW talent versus some broad who barely wear's anything and has a mediocre voice.

Nothing exciting about the arrangement? Get a record label and suddenly you're a fucking critic on musical arrangements? Maybe simple is what she is going for, numb nuts, since she is singing in a jazz style that is usually quite basic with just voice and piano. But I bet you knew that too, huh?

Because a lot of people love Rock n Roll and hate R n B and the Blues. These genres go hand and hand so how can you love soulful singing white artists and hate the black artists when that is who the white artists are mimicking. The true originators of the art form. It's kind of retarded, but that's folks for ya:) It was like the Cyndi Lauper/Little Kim collabo, mind you, which was totally awesome. There was no way people should have dissed them. I totally loved it when Cyndi went street with the Bedstye shout out. Little Kim kicked ass as a newby from a singing standpoint. A lot of people diss rap, when a lot of big time rock bands are incorporating the urban sound in their music (Lincoln Park, Limp Bizkit, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, etc.) Rock fans love these groups, but some of them detest rap. Go figure! Will we ever understand this bassackwards world?
Love the try but her voice would sound a lot better agianst "My Immortal" by Evanessence that would be amazing I love Christte & I love her voice but If she wants to cover something that would be a hell of a lot better for her voice & style

It's a lovely song, but she over sang it… too many rifts. Her voice is great so she did not need all the bravado… the song sells itself.

I'm feeling this jazzy, soulful rendition. She really made this version her own. Perez, I know you like to give buzz to young up and comers and lesser knowns but for a truly amazaballz remake check out Seether's Cover of Wham's "Careless Whisper" and the vid is rad too!

She kicked gwen's ass in this song!! Everything CM touches is gold! Gwen doesn't sing that well people. Yeah this was a great song but CM sings it waaaaaaaaaay better! Gwen is mediocre anyway vocals wise. Her songs are great, she's hot, and she has a great spirit but Gwen's voice is only ok.
OMG, now that RIGHT THERE is someone who can sing. Love Gwen, but let's face it, she's not much of a singer. And this girl makes Beyonce AND Alicia look like a combination of Miley and Britney. LMAO

Probably a nice voice, but WRONG song to cover… Totally destroyed the normal flow of the song.
Christte has a nice, soulful timbre, but that's the only positive thing I have to say. Not an ounce of emotion in her performance. To draw a parallel with Billie Holiday is the most ridiculous thing I've heard in some time as Billie was unrivalled at feeling and emoting through her singing.
And you're right Perez, the arrangement sucks.

Evidently you know NOTHING about her music and you can't base your opinion on some No Doubt song. In my opinion she is one of the FEW talented Artist's out there. Who is talent to you? Brit?
