So You Think You Can Dance, Katie? Everybody Else Doesn't Agree.
As we expected, Katie Holmes is having her toe-tapping ass handed back to her in the aftermath of her redunkoulously bad performance on So You Think Can Dance.
Just because you think you can does not mean you should!
Fans all over the Web are throwing down a lot of trash talk towards Mrs. Tom Cruise and even the celebs are getting in on the hate. Shanna Moakler wrote on her Twitter: "I am fuckin INSULTED, Katie Holmes how dare you! I didn't just grow up on musicals, I lived and breathed them, Oklahoma, Easter Parade, Family Band, don't touch my legends! ur not worthy."
Ouch. True, but still ouch.
Katie does have some friends in her corner who are defending her act. Of course, they all happen to be apart of the same cause Holmes claimed to be dancing for. Like Carrie Ann Inaba, who has co-founded the Dizzy Feet Foundation with Katie said in an interview: "She went out there on a show that features some of the most incredible dancers we have in America, and she went out there to show her support for Dizzy Feet Foundation and her love of dancing. And I think that's completely courageous."
You should also say that to every freak and fool who parades on the stage in front of the judges during the initial auditions. We guarantee, if she was a nobody, you'd be singing a very different little tune.
We stick with the majority on this one : IT BLEW!

Most actresses do some dancing. This one had all the time in the world and I assume the ?? to pay a professional to teach her the ONE dance. Because there was so much anticipation and the above factors I'll ' give her a C.
I think she was awesome. Anyone who watched the musicals from when Judy Garland was around & doing them would know that the kind of dancing Katie done was the same kind in those musicals. It was feet glidding broadway style dancing and I think she looks fabulous! Don't be such a hater Perez & Shanna. Shanna is trailer trash anyways!

OK, IT WASN'T THAT BAD. I WOULD NOT CLASSIFY IT AS 'DANCING', BUT IT WAS FOR CHARITY. NOW, I AM NOT SURE WHY ALL THE MANY HOURS GETTING READY FOR IT AS IT WASN'T ANYTHING SPECIAL. I WAS EXPECTING A HUGE DANCE NUMBER. AT LEAST SHE LOOKED GOOD AND NOT LIKE THE HOT MESS SHE HAS BEEN LOOKING LIKE LATELY.
1. Katie did a good job. She's not a professional dancer or singer….she's never claimed to be.
2. The entire act was to bring awareness to a good cause.
3. Shana Moakler needs to shut her rat trap. The girl is a piece of trash. She's never been in anything significant and is just jealous of Katie.

I agree that she sucked. I was surpised at hjow much of a disappointment it was. I mean, she had it pre-taped, lip-syncing, an amazing coreographer, a killer bod, lots of rehearsal time, and she's supposer to be a professional performer, if not dancer. I could have done a better job than she did with my little bit of musical theater experience. That was not dancing! That was moving. I think it's too bad that Tom and scientology have removed her personality. I think they took her better judgement as well.
Katie and her entourage are the ones that said she was an "amazing" dancer and singer. They promoted her on her abilities we didn't. It was horrible, just horrible. My gosh she couldn't lip sync to save her soul. It was pathetic. Sorry, I come from a dancing family and she DID NOT dance. She kicked her leg up once. Don't be so high an mighty about the charity. Nigel said "Katie donated her fee for being on the show to the charity". What the hell? A fee? Give me a break. It was awful!!!!!!!
Whatever. Shanna Moakler is NOTHING but a big ol' drama queen who doesn't have a career left and sits around taking shots at anyone doing better than her. What the hell has Shanna done? EVER? Besides marry someone famous. Her performance was fun and sweet, and it was ALL FOR CHARITY… besides the show is a joke anyway, mine as well raise awareness for charity to get something good out of it.

Has anyone ever considered the possibility that this "charity" is probably a front for Scientology? Use a nice-sounding name, and it draws in good, unsuspecting people.
Scientology has a number of organizations that you would not suspect are Scientology traps.
Secondly, Perez does not have to do this dance. Anyone is free to criticize Katie's dancing–it is not a prerequisite to be a dancer. If that were the case, only professional dancers would be allowed to say if they liked it or not.
This reminds me of the Octuplet debacle–when I voiced concern over the Octo-Mom being unstable, a lot of people bit my head off by saying, "Oh, and I suppose you think YOU'RE perfect!?!?!" Huh? What does that have to do with anything?
I have never pretended to be perfect, but I am allowed to voice my opinion. The Octo-Mom is not emotionally stable, and Katie Holmes' dance routine sucked.

I did tivo it to watch but felt like I was watching a High School production. The important thing to remember is that it was to draw attention to a very good cause. I think the point was, even if you JUST enjoy dancing, you can.
