Fox To Abort Controversial Family Guy Episode

Nothing is sacred on Family Guy. There is no discrimination on topics that creator Seth MacFarlane thinks that he and his team should hate on and over the years, they have kept pushing their boundaries further and further.

The Emmy-nominated show has hit a roadblock, however, as Seth told his fellow geeks, freaks, and fans that a recent episode produced about abortion might never air.

He said: “20th Century Fox… allowed us to produce this episode and then said, ‘You know what? We’re scared to fucking death of this.’”

We want to watch anything that makes TV execs wet themselves in fear, but the concern from the network may mean the episode will never make it to air. No details about the story have been released, but either way, it will spark a fury with TV audiences that the show has become accustomed to.

We're intrigued. Let's see it FOX!

Do U want to see this very special episode of Family Guy?

    I don't care.

  2. 2

why not? it can't be worse than anything on Bruno.

  3. 3

    probably, maybe, not.

  4. 4

If people are really offended by a fucking cartoon, they are morons. I want to see the episode!

  5. 5

    I dunno?

  6. 6

fuck ya! nothing can offend me, i love family guy

  7. 7

doesnt he look like the guys standing in the back of a church greeting people?

  8. 8

HELL YES I WANT TO SEE IT. It is Family Guy! It could not be as bad as South Park! They say "ass" and "shit" on TV all the time now. Why can't we watch a cartoon about abortion?? It's all in good fun. WTF?!?

  9. 9

    i want to see it!!!

  10. 10

hell yeah i want to see it! If they think its that bad it must be good!

  11. 11

Re: SIren6xx – Yeah, Bruno is nasty……….. But it is not TV. I just don't believe in censorship.

  12. 12

aww thats bullshit! at least put the episode on the DVD!

  13. 13

YES!!!!! I really want to see it now!!

  14. 14

Meh.. Could be good, but they've been taking shit too far lately.. Some of the new episodes are too controversial and just stupid; not funny. But we'll see, maybe it'll still be funny..

  15. 15

I'd rather see someone take a big fat shit in your mouth Mario

  16. 16

hahahaha could it really be any worse then "dumpster baby"?!?!

  17. 17

So fox will air an episode involving Peter Griffin giving away the Franks hideout, or allow the show to have a pedophile character, but they wont allow Family Guy to air an episode about abortion.

Oh, and not to mention 'Midnight Dumpster Baby!'

  18. buck says – reply to this

its probably better for society to not trivialize the killing of innocent babies even in a cartoon.

  19. 19

Yes I want to see it! that's what makes family guy so great. They push the boundaries and sometimes you laugh at things you feel awful about laughing at… but truth is, it's opened a lot of conversations about atheism and religion, using "the terrorists" for an excuse for anything in the governement… and lot's of other topics that were surely deemed controversial.

I'm all for airing this episode… NO CENSORSHIP!

  20. 20

Re: JigSaw – #8 Church? LMAO .. I never took you to be a church goer hun.

  21. 21

    what's it about?

  22. 22

Oh come on, Fox. They let Seth do "Prom Night Dumpster Baby," the FCC song, the Legalize It episode, and god knows what else! Let it air! People who would protest the episode probably don't watch the show in the first place!

  23. 23

Let's be honest, FOX is scared of their base……meaning, the mindless, uneducated middle-america bible-belt retards.

People with brains only watch FOX for their Sunday night cartoons.

  24. 24

I love family guy and i really want to see this episode. Bring it on you fugly bitches!

  25. 25

Show it. It's time to stop all the hiding in the shadows anyway

  26. 26

    sure .

  27. 27

  28. 28

Air it on Hulu, if you can't broadcast it.

  29. 29

Oh, and lest we forget South Park showed a graphic (live-action) depiction of a sex-change operation! Granted, they're on Basic Cable, but still!

  30. 30

So MTV can have a show about a bunch of teenage whores getting knocked up, but a CARTOON can't talk about abortion??

  31. 31

No, I don't want to see it, because not only is Family Guy not nearly as funny as it used to be, but some of the things they've talked about over the last season or so were grossly unfair and irreverent in a way that isn't humorous at all. It's sad. South Park manages to make fun of EVERYONE, all religions, all ideas, but then they point out how not everything about the side they oppose is bad, most of the time. Family Guy lacks that balance, and there's been more stuff on there in the last year that is just plain offensive.

  32. 32

I want to have his babies! Seth is HOT

  33. 33

I'M PRO-CHOICE!!! But abortion is not a light topic to be made fun of.

  34. 34

what could be controvertial about that episode. they did "you have aids" and "prom night dumpster baby". family guy rocks!!

  35. 35

If its that offensive…then wait until it comes to DVD and make it the special selection.

I want little kids to be little kids as long as possible…and they should be able to watch TV and parents not have to worry that at 9pm there is something that is that offensive. Seth does put the envelope and I love him for that…however, I also love kids and the innocence they have and Id like to be able to give them the gift of allowing them to have that as long as possible, because you are jaded and mentally demolished by all the shit you see on that fucking boob tube for a long long time.

  36. 36

  37. 37

Abortion is a serious issue and should not be used for television/humour fodder. He's gone too far enough this season.

  38. 38

Re: Zoesmom – I'm uneducated middle american bible belt retard? who still reads the bible but taught her self at the age of fourteen that being closed minded was for the pathetic, and who to still enjoy a tradtional american life of dancing, drinking, and sex as long as I knew my limits and serving her savior?

We're not all stupid, you just need to look harder.

  39. 39

Heck yes I want to see it. Come on FOX! Stop being just tight-asses!

  40. 40

YES YES YES I NEED TO SEE IT! total family guy fan*

  41. 41

    HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  42. 42

It has to be pretty god awful - given what they have let through. Especially this season. It's stopped being funny and more about how much they can "shock" people, which is so obvious in the last 5 or 6 episodes, that it's painfully like the nerdy kid trying to be too cool in school and a turn off to the show. And that's saying alot from me - who's a freakishly fanatic of the series… despite the fact Seth is a bleeding liberal without a clue… though I still quote "Booob Dole.. Bob Dole - but hey, a Republican senator killing off a hooker and coming after Meg with a hanger in her pregnant episode is all good! But then again - Prom Night Dumpster Baby as mentioned… but then again, it was cool to compare McCain (a prior war hero, not buying his way out of service) to Hitler, then again… killing off Anne Frank… or any part with Joe in it…

  43. 43

Re: hellojessi – very well said! I am in aggreance with you.

  44. 44

Why is FOX getting its panties in a knot over abortion, but allowed an episode where Quagmire rapes Marge Simpson and then kills the whole Simpson family? What the hell is wrong with them??!!

  45. 45

I think Family Guy goes way too far, way too often. Sometimes to hilarious results, sometimes not. But I love the show, I think it's brilliant. I believe in the freedom to choose what we watch.

In this case, if the episode is deemed too risky even for Family Guy, don't air it: simply include on the Season DVD.

  46. 46

A little "low comedy" never hurt anyone.

  47. 47

    I want to see it.

  48. 48

Re: BeautifulBrunnette69 – i agree. i'm a huge fan but the recent episodes have been more for shock value than laughs. like the one where peter has a gay orgy? no thx.
"Peter's Progress" was the best episode last season. "hellooo. Alan Rickman, this is Alan… Rickman."

  49. 49

Pllllllllllllllllleaaaaase let this leak on some trashy website somewhere! Plllllllllllllleeeeeeeeease! lol. I don't care if whining little Fox Network doesn't want it to air. First off, wont Adult Swim air it? Second off, someone in that studio HAS to leak it to Youtube or some other site. Come on yall! We gotta find this jont.

  50. 50

    Re: Canadiana717 – hahaha

  51. 51

    I want to see it!

  52. 52

Seth is a genius! ..i love Family Guy. I Wanna see it.

  53. 53

    Re: vlct0ria
Agreed. I wanna see it too! It's probably hilarious.

  54. 54

I don't really care to be honest. Just a bunch of media hype…

  55. 55

Re: FaeRae_86 – o shut the fuck up

  56. 56

    no, leave abortion alone.

  57. 57

Re: MinaDiva – Hell's to the Yes

  58. 58

Family Guy is hysterical! you have to take it with a grain of salt and have a damn sense of humor…

  59. 59

I think when you watch "family guy" you know what you are in for. So yeah, air it.

  60. 60

i thought the horse licking peter's ass was pretty vulgar, maybe just as controversial as abortion.

there are things that annoy me in normal life but FAMILY GUY, being the break from reality that it is, is okay in my book to speak on the taboos cuz it's so damn funny.

  61. 61

At least on DVD, where they have all the uncut juice!
    FUCK THE FCC!!!!

  62. 62

WTF?!! Yuppies don't HAVE to watch it. Family Guy is legend and idiots who have ridiculos morals are keeping it away from…nay being legend. I saw when Seth interviewed random strangers and made them view family guy, they were obvlious to the fact he created it, and when seth asked 'so if family guy were to go off the air would you be sad?' and this weirdo lady said 'no…id just stay home and watch the bachelor' ahahahah really?! FAMILY GUY ON FOR ALL EPISODESSSSSS!!!!!!

  63. lolli says – reply to this

meg gets an abortion, peter doesn't agree, jokes jokes, blah blah, reference to kim catralls womb, etc. i still want to watch.

  64. 64

Who cares, Family Guy has gotten so stale..all the care about is seeing what kind of 'shocking' topic they can get on tv..it's not even funny anymore..

  65. 65

nope, thats gross… i think that's a bit too far.

  66. 66

Not surprising lookin at some of the people who made comment's on here raving about how great this type of episode would be. You live one way in sin, you live ALL the way's of sin.

  67. 67

Re: twinkicoo – LMAO yup.. I appreciate the good stuff too, but not this garbage..

  68. 68

Re: Rhi.xx.oo – And you just admitted you don't have morals.. lol smart hun..

  69. 69

And Perez you got ALOT of nerve putting a 'halo' over THAT guy's head. Devil horn's would be more appropriate b/c where he's goin after death halo's won't even be remotely optional.

  70. 70

this will just bring more hype and free publicity for the episode and show. it would be stupid to not air it.

  71. 71

Re: BOOMBOOMPOWrez – There is no heaven so he's going to the exact same place your going when your dead.

  72. 72

I hope they actually don't take the risk of being pulled off the air and, just release it on the DVD, or air it exclusively just on HULU or Adult-Swim.

My fav show either way I really really wanna see it. Don't tell me Meg gets preg.

  73. 73

Re: blslut666 Try this. TURN OFF YOUR CHILD'S TV. Or is your home one of those "I let my kids do whatever and let the government raise them" types? My son is 5. He watches Nickelodeon. Family Guy is on the DVR to watch AFTER he goes to bed and there are parental controls set to only allow kid channels like Nick, Boomerang, etc.

  74. 74

Re: MinaDiva Actually, adult swim has quite a few episodes they won't air, some of their reasoning is that their channel has children's programming during the day, therefore a "just in case" type of thing.

  75. 75

Given others agree with me about the direction of Family Guy last season (which I'm surprised at) - do you guys think it's all disjointed now too? Not so much actual episodes but like… random skits that last 3-4 minutes, then the next segment references a line or two and goes somewhere completely different and doesn't matter? It's not even an episode anymore!

  76. 76

Re: Wiener_Guy – Hmmm, okay whatever YOU say.

  77. 77

Re: Wiener_Guy – Yea ok buddy.. Think what you want.. Like, why you gotta start shit over nothing? Do Christians say shit like that? No, we don't.. Give it up already..

  78. 78

NO! Don't get me wrong I have been a Family Guy fan for years, but regardless of whether people are pro-choice or pro-life (and as an American I support either sides right to believe in what they want to) Abortion is NEVER EVER an appropriate topic to poke fun at or make light of. It sickens me that people can be so insensitive about such a tough subject. MacFarlane and FOX: why would you want to hurt both members of your audience who have had abortions, or who are made uncomfortable by the subject? really people have some compassion

  79. 79

    The question is..
    who is getting the abortion??

  80. 80

I love Family Guy and I love Seth, I hope we get to watch it even if Fox decides not to air it.

  81. 81

I say air it. People shouldn't be afraid of being offended. Even though Family Guy isn't funny at all, it usually take something offensive to open a serious dialogue about subjects. I think it may help open a more effective discussion about abortion without people beating around the bush so much.

  82. 82

Re: PLEZZZ – Then don't tune in. It's that simple!
Hell yeah, I wanna see it. How much worse can it get? I mean, we've heard Lois tell her potentially pregnant daughter to "Just drink and smoke a LOT to have a miscarriage, but don't stop half way through or you'll end up with Chris." They're such pussies at Fox!

  83. 83

Re: blslut666 – I agree with everything you said here.

  84. 84

No. I was horrified after watching the episode with the scene involving, "I'm a prom night dumpster baby" being sung and danced to by several naked babies twirling their ankle length umbilical cords!! That episode should have never ever been aired! But I do love the show, it's really funny!!!

  85. 85

I most definitly want to see this shit!!…

  86. 86

i wish this guy wasn't so creepy looking. it distracts from his brilliance. creepy people should have 'stunt doubles' do their public appearances. dov charney, are you listening?

  87. 87

Re: VickyV – omg… i mean, it creeps me out and scares me to hear the umbilical chord baby thing… but this is pretty f'ing funny… cuz chris does seem like a deranged one. omg. this guy is tweaked, and hysterical. but abortion… ewww… i just don't know if i want to see it! i wish all babies were healthy and born into happy whole families, and we never had to even know what that word meant! let me have this one unreal moment, please…

  88. 88

give me my good TV damnit all

  89. 89

How can that show even be nominated? It went downhill awhile back. I do not get entertained by other peoples' pain or suffering. The show makes a joke of that. Sad world we live in when people find humor in other peoples' suffering.

  90. 90

i hate family guy but im pretty intrigued by this so bring it on!

  91. 91

I LOVE HIM………….. FUCK THE FCC, the man kicked ass at comic con sunday and did so with really nice biceps too boot

  92. 92

hell yeah i wanna see it, need i say more, its family guy :) ♥♥♥

  93. 93

I read that the episode in question has something to do with Meg (the daughter) getting raped and then getting an abortion *for laughs*. I this the whole thing is vile, but certainly the kind of thing one can expect from this hack.

Incidentally, Family Guy hasn't been funny in a very long time.

  94. 94

i love family guy….i want to see the new episode!

  95. 95

    i wanna see it

  96. 96

Re: maxie pad Well, the title of the show is PARTIAL TERMS OF ENDEARMENT. Me thinks that means they were going to do something REALLY nasty and awful dealing with partial birth abortion. Given that even abortion rights activists are against that type of thing (allowing it until basically the water breaks, even if a baby is 100% healthy and could be delivered without even having any medical intervention), I can completely see how this is offense. Especially for those of us that went through and investigated it, when Obama said he was for it, while his wife held dinners to support it. I don't think half delivering a kid, and jamming scissors in it's skull is fodder.

  97. 97

This Reminds Me Of Cartoon Wars From South Park. South Park Is Much Better In My Opinion Because Although It Starts Off With Offending People And Doing Vile Things, In The End The Characters Go Against It And They End Up Defending People At The End. Family Guy Just Offends People And Religion Just Like South Park But Family Guy Just Gets Away With It And Doesn't Show You Anything Like South Park Does. And I Hate That Family Guy Has All Of These Random Jokes. They Are SOO Annoying!!!!

  98. 98

AHH I NEED TO SEE THISSS EPISODEEE PLEASEE AIR ITTTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! screw u haters

  99. 99

what's the difference between that and dumpster baby??

  100. 100

they should at least make it available on DVD or leak it on the internet. I'm genuinely intrigued, I LOVE family guy :)
