Why T.R. Knight Should Have Stuck Around!

By now, all you Grey's Anatomy fans know that T.R. Knight is not returning to Seattle Grace, not even for so much as a farewell episode. Well, we've just learned what his last episode would have been and we have to say.
The guy's a prick for NOT doing this!!!
Creator Shonda Rhimes had planned on a complete George-centric episode following the final day of his life as the season premiere episode.
She revealed: "I wanted to see his last day [alive] really badly. What I thought was interesting was the idea of, we now know it's the last day of someone's life, [so we’re] looking at it differently than [we] would any other time."
The episode would have book-ended with George's final act, jumping in front of the bus to save a young woman, as a way to not only exhibit the horror of the accident, but also the heroism in it. As Shonda puts it: "I thought it would have been a beautiful episode. We might have learned something new about George."
Though she says she "understands" why he didn't sign on for the episode, we can't hep but feel like it was spitting back in the faces of the people who made him famous.
T.R. made a big fuss about having more screen time and when they gave him a centralized episode, he still isn't happy!
Whatever Knight! We don't care less either way, but people who call themselves your fans might. Just a thought.

That is exactly what he did. His talent and charm made him famous. I think he did the right thing. DO NOT BE A FUCKING CORPRATE SELL OUT. why would he want them to make money off of him leaving. That is the point of him leaving.

yeah, i loved george in the beginning of the series but since he's faded out I've cared less and less about his character. Oh well, i suppose this means that george and izzie will never get back together. =(

Did it ever occur to you that Shonda Rhimes is full of crap? That she is back peddling because T.R. has come out with his side about how she handled the whole Isiah Washington thing? It's really easy for her to come out now and say, "Oh no, no, we were going to do a whole George episode!" Washington did a really shitty thing, Rhimes handled it horribly and you believe what is coming out of her mouth now? Foolish. She is just trying to do damage control here.

I am sure other actors would have given anything to be on this show. And these whiners act like they are god's gift to the screen. TR Knight's character George was whiny and a wuss because TR Knight is whiny and wuz. I think he was just playing himself. Katherine H Meryl Streep she is not. and she wants act like she is all that I wonder why the feel the need to be that is it because the creator/writer/producer is a black woman? Would they act this way if they were on a show produced by a white male which is atypical for Hollywood. They need to thank their lucky stars they are on TV. I totally agree w7 Perez on this. I don't even watc Grey's anatomy but at least do it for the fans man! They have really devoted fans! it's crazy! (BTW there are really few succesful stories of people leaving a show in bad terms to "grow". Must succesful actor out of a TV show in my opinion? George Clooney, and he went back to pay respect to the show that gave him a name and with which he put food in the tanle!)

You know it's very easy to put out a statement after the fact. When you can't actually be forced to follow through with your alleged great tribute-idea you can make up all kinds of bullshit and come out the other end looking like the good guy, the nice boss who would have given the employee a great farewell gift by turning the spotlight on him for a full 45 minutes. Just don't think for one second that any of it is real or would have been real.
Shonda Rhimes is simply doing what any exec producer/show creator/writer in her position would have done: milking this story for all its worth and keeping her show in the center of attention while trying to improve the public's perception of herself which is basically a controlling, self-centered dragon who doesn't tolerate ideas that aren't her own. Simple as that.

TR should have left on a high note… sounds like it would have been an EMMY episode for him. Somehow, someway… I don't think we've seen the end of George. I'm sure when things settle down a few years from now when Grey's is getting ready to end.. George will be back ala Denny(ghost).
