Christian Bales Should Have A Medic On Set

As we mentioned earlier this month, former hottie Christian Bale was looking pretty sickly on the set of his latest flick, The Fighter.
Bale plays a boxer/trainer who gets addicted on drugs. But talk about taking method acting to the extreme!
The former Batman hunk was just spotted on Monday filming in Boston. And now he appears even slimmer than before!
We're glad it wasn't too windy yesterday, it might have knocked him over.
Seriously, someone needs to feed this guy a cookie.
He already did his body enough damage when he became emaciated for The Machinist!

This isn't any different than what real 'BOXERS' do the night before a fight. They will dehydrate themselves by 15-35lbs just to make weight. Then the night of the fight…they're 15-35lbs heavier! I'm not saying it's safe, but it's no different.

the machinist sucked. this one probably will too. Loved The Dark Knight, everything about it except Bale. Didn't like his gruffy batman voice or his overconfident acting but you got to give the guy props for truly commiting to his craft and his work. just because i don't like him doesn't mean others don't, and its clear that the guy works hard for his roles unlike others

Why does Bale keep doing this to himself? Matt Damon did the weight loss thing *once* for Courage Under Fire and swore to never do it again, saying that it was stupid and dangerous (I agree).

Bale does this. He is the most extreme method actor… check out The Machinist. Scared the crap out of me how quickly he changes his body for roles. There is actually a photo somewhere of how he went from the Machinist body to Batman in a few short months. Nuts, but admirable.
That is comitment, hes playing a sick man so yes he is supposed to come off sick. He looks like a hunk in batman, because batman is supposed to be shown as a strong fighter. Someone like him deserves an oscar nod.
