Anything that came before the marriage, belongs to the individual. Sooo, any money Kate made from her book during the marriage (and even now…unless they are officially divorced) is marital property.

If i had a choice between spoiling them with nice homes, clothes and college educations over what they most likely would be subjected too with two overworked parents trying to pay for 8 children I certainly do not feel bad for the kids. Another case of what we call "celebrity" — we elevated these people who did nothing to get the fame. We expect them to act a certain way and they don't so they disappoint. It's already been covered that money earned during the marriage is split, so what else is there to say….
