Summit Screws Rachelle! Fired Twilight Star Speaks!

As we mentioned earlier, Summit Entertainment announced - to the surprise of EVERYONE - that Rachelle Lefevre would not be reprising her role as "Victoria" in the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse. Instead, actress (and Ron Howard's daughter), Bryce Dallas Howard will be taking over as the redheaded beauty.

You were surprised. We were surprised. But no one was more surprised than Rachelle, who was "stunned by Summit's decision."

Of being recast, she says:

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part. I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best."

Wow! Dick move on Summit's behalf. Wonder why they were so eager to give the young actress the boot?

Will Twilighters accept the newcomer? Or will you be loyal to the ousted Lefevre??

P.S. This is probably the best thing that could have happened to Rachelle Lefevre, actually. Now, everybody knows Rachelle Lefevre, right Rachelle Lefevre????

If you are an actor in the Twilight series, you should sit home & count your money in between movies. Twilight "makes you" then you move on to other projects. Why should they have to rearrange any shooting or rehersals because she is doing other things. She is an idiot. She must have really pissed them off. And they had legal grounds to fire her. Howard will be o.k.

Too bad.. Rachelle was so cool, I really liked her…I think Twilight fans will have a hard time embracing the new Victoria. I mean, we're in the middle of the saga, and we were all used to Rachelle, it'll sorta weird to have a brand new actress in Eclipse.

This if fucked up! 10 days… If it was Robert Pattinson taking a shit for 10 days they would never recast. I understand if there was a few years between the movies, but these are being filmed back to back. Dallas is a WONDERFUL actress,and will no doubt be amazing in the role, but Summit are not be fair to Rachelle. I have a feeling that there is more to this story than we know.. perhaps they wanted Rachelle out from the get go and are using her 10 day prior committment as an excuse. Poor Rachelle

I wonder how thankful Perez Hilton is for his two major 'celebrity' moments of recent history. #1 - He sabotaged Carrie Prejean, and then lied about a pageant official's reaction, all to promote *PEREZ HILTON*. #2 - He used a gay hate slur to goad a straight man into punching him, so he could tweet about how bloody he was, and then sued the straight man in court, all so he could get money. He must need it, badly. The money, I mean. So, after intentionally doing things he *MUST* have known would lead to an assault, he cries and whines about no one having the right to hit someone.

You really can't replace characters in the middle of a saga… you lose fan base and fuck up pretty much everything. I'm willing to bet that Twilight and New Moon will rake in more money than Eclipse will. No matter how good of a job Bryce Dallas Howard does, she won't get the same reaction Rachel Lefevre got.

Now I like Rachelle but that was her own fault. She shouldn't have accepted the role especially since she new it would interfere with the Eclipse filming and rehearsing. If she was really passionate about it then she would have turned down the Barney Version Role and stayed true to the Twilight Saga: Eclipse!

Summit is so fucked up, i mean the movies are nothing like the books, in NEW MOON, when Alice gave the b-day party for Bella, it was done in candles and tons of pink roses, even the fking cake was pink…they're so fking cheap!! My angry response to this is weird; I thought that first movie was a complete load. But, like everyone else I’d have gotten around to seeing the others, the sheer tonnage of publicity makes it impossible not to be curious, and I figure my expectations are so low I can’t possibly be disappointed . So, yeah, the fact that I want to find a Summit bigwig and spit on them seems a bit extreme. But this is so blatantly unfair; such filthy behaviour, with summit trying to save a penny or two from this multimillion dollar feeding frenzy of a franchise – and hanging off Pa Howard’s dick, no doubt.. Bryce ‘Daddy’s Little Bitch’ Howard should be ashamed of herself, ‘cause there’s just no way Pa Howard didn’t have a finger in this pie. They all disgust me. And now they’re trying to make it this Rachelle girl’s fault. Yeah, right! Why don’t they just run her over with a fucking truck and have done with it. Asshats big-time!
