Mel Gibson Off The Hook; Photog Is Full of It

We mentioned earlier that Mel Gibson allegedly attacked a photographer while at the launch of a new club in El Lay last night. We are now getting word that the "victim" is no such thing, as the police are calling bullshit on his whole story.

Police determined that the guy's story in no way lined up with the events of the evening. The dude said that Mel leapt at him and tore his shirt, yet the police counter that Mel couldn't have done such on account of his location on the couch. (He was wedged into the couch by his ~~fat~~ pregnant GF.)

The police also go on to say that witnesses at the club never saw the guy get touched by Mel or leave with a ripped shirt.

So, basically, he was lying.

Mel is supposedly a recovering Alcoholic and his girlfriend is pregnant, what are they doing out at a nightclub? Mel, you're old, she is pregnant, and when you drink you get stupid. go home.

For this reason he has a RESPONSIBILITY to put forth atleast a little effort to provide accurate information in the stories he posts. The fact is that other sites had already posted that this story was a fraud and had been dismissed by the police before his original story even went up. That's just shoddy and it's up to his readers to hold him to some standard of quality. Otherwise, just pick up a fiction book.
