Some Big Changes In Store On The Jon & Kate Plus 8 Show!
The news of Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce and their show's hiatus has left fans and critics wondering where the show will go from here. Well, TLC president Eileen O'Neill released a statement today concerning the most talked about reality family of the year and the future of their show.
She says:
"Over the last four years and through 100 episodes, we've captured this remarkable family's entertaining chaos.
Viewers fell in love and the show developed a passionate, loyal following. But this past spring - life intervened and the family's status changed. It was certainly something we never expected nor planned to have happen. But this has resulted in unprecedented television.
Our approach to the circumstance was simple: to cover the family with great care and thoughtfulness as they dealt with a subject that is all to familiar to many American families today.
Jon and Kate have never said they were perfect, which has made them relatable and created an undeniable connection with the viewers.
We will continue to capture this family's journey in a respectful and sensitive way.
The show comes back on Monday and most new episodes remain a work in progress.
But I will tell you: the iconic couch is gone. Jon & Kate will now have separate chairs for their interviews.
You're still going to see two parents that love their kids, but you'll be seeing them parenting separately.
You'll see what it's like when Kate has to put a tent up for a backyard camping experience by herself. Or, see Jon trying to cook up a pizza for the kids.
As far as new people and places that may be cycling into Jon & Kate’s lives, we are taking it on a case-by-case basis.
This is real life. It's important to remember that our cameras are only there for moments in time, and those moments have limits."
It shouldn't be too long until Homewrecking Hailey makes her TLC debut. We give it a month, TOPS!

I've never seen the show nor do I plan on ever watching it……but honestly with so many viewers caught up in this show I wouldn't be surprised if it became a hit. As if being a child of a divorced (divorcing) couple is not bad enough. Now Jon and Kate want to traumatize their kids more by having them go through the divorce on national television. Yeah, great parenting Jon and Kate! Completely irresponsible on their part.
I will never watch this show again. I only watched the first couple of seasons until I couldn't take Kate anymore. Now I can't stand either of them.

Part of me wants to watch the new J&K+8 because it's so deliciously scandalous, but the other part of me that thinks these kids must be protected from further exploitation. I don't want to add to their pain. This show needs to be taken off the air. Immediately. No more. Enough already.
C'mon peeps.. There are such things as child labor laws that limit the amount of time a child can appear in front of the camera. With all those kids to raise through their teens and tution for all 8, those kids better smile for those cameras and be darn snappy about it. No, they didn't ask to be born, but now that they are, they better learn to like their lives.. sure will be better than digging a ditch on a contruction site or flippin burgers.
As far as the ignorant person that stated "poor kate raising the kids by herself", Jon lives in the house with the kids and kate lives in the house with the kids. We will find out who cheated on whom first when we see what the divorce papers say on who is paying support. If my wife treated me the way Kate did Jon, I would have left her ass long ago.I feel sorry for the kids also, but only when it's Kate's turn to babysit.
TLC should be shot. Both Jon and Kate should be shot and the kids should go live with Jodi and Kevin. When do these "loving" parents ever see their children? Yes unfortunately I am addicted to the show, I adore those kids, but I'm so disappointed with Jon's behavior. I know everyone has there life to leave, but leaving those kids and running around with young women is not good for there kids. John you said on one of the last eposodes that the kids come first. Looks like to most of us that you come first!
