A song that is almost two years old is burning up the charts in America!
Released FOREVER ago, the Kings of Leon's brilliant Use Somebody has just cracked the America's Top 10, in fact it landed all the way at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.
We would not be surprised if the old song - new to most Americans - makes it all the way to #1.
That'd be awesome!
And with their newfound mainstream success and exposure in the U.S. comes new opportunities for the Kings of Leon, like big time TV appearances.

I hate when people think that "indie" music is all good. It's not. Just like Pop music…you have your good and your bad. Music snobs……"I raise my kids on the good stuff" as someone foolishly stated earlier….as if they were shoving home cooked meatloaves and mashed potatoes in their skulls.
this song was number 1 in the uk like last year, God americans are slow to catch on ha lol, KOL have not sold out they are just growing as artists they can't simply record the same music
America decided they like KOL after Robert Pattinson said he liked them in some interviews so I think he may have brought them back from the UK. Personally after the interview in Rolling Stone I am not a big fan.
They sound fuckin' great live…
I gotta say the first time I heard this new shit on SNL it put me way off. I thought they had totally gone stylish and sold out their homegrown roots. But this stuff has really grown on me. Caleb Followill could sing the Bible and it would still sound great. What a voice!
Kings of Leon used to be really good and it's funny now that they aren't as good as they used to be they are now popular in the US…..

This song is old . Love KOL. Think Closer was being considered for New Moon soundtrack, or being rumored to be anyway. I prefer Closer to this. Then older KOL. Never thought they would be mainstream, they deserve this, more money, may not be as cool as being an indie band kiddies, but the $'s a hell of a lot better.

Re: sherlock2g – agree. god forbid should your favourite little band make some money and get their music to a bigger fanbase. been a fan of these guys since '03, and 'because of the times' IMO the best album they've done. but i love OBTN and i'm not gonna 'hate' them for finally making it. they are, were and forever will be a fantastic band and group of musicians.
also, is it just me, or is america like that guy you tell a joke to and he gets the punchline 20 minutes later than everyone else?!

About time you guys noticed the greatest band on earth! They are massive in the UK for a long time - "Sex on Fire" is probably the best tune of the last year!
I hate that song and can't believe that it became so popular. They have better new songs like Revelry and Manhattan. Overall, I like their older stuff better though.
