ScarJo Was A 13 Year Old Pain In The Ass?

Michael Feeney Callan is penning a biography about Robert Redford (creatively titled Robert Redford: The Biography) and it promises to spare no details!
In the book, due out in November from Knopf Publishing, Callan details Redford's work on set, including the unsavory experience of directing Scarlett Johansson in Redford's 1998 film, The Horse Whisperer.
While Redford acknowledges that Scarlett is a talented actress, apparently the then-13-year-old was difficult to work with and not willing to take Redford's direction. According to Callan, Scarlett's unconventional approach to mastering scenes and back-talk were a constant source of tension on set. Further, Scarlett's manager/stage mother was a nightmare to work with, undermining Redford's directing with her own take on the way scenes should be approached.
Yikes!
Hopefully ScarJo has mended her bratty ways - she was thirteen at the time, after all. Doesn't make it okay to talk back to a respected director, especially as such a young girl with little experience at that point, but we bet that over the years and with maturity, she's less of a pain to work with.

That was a great movie.
I alwasy knew, she was a pain in the arse, without knowing her, you can just tell, by the way she behaves, that she is bigheaded, and thinks, she's god's gift to the human race. neither is she very talented, nor does she have the looks to justify her behviour. I alwasy have to think about Charlize Theron, who got into the media bout the same time she did. What a difference there is about those two women. One is a first class actor and can switch characters like other people change their underwear. The other one is just a "pretty" shell, who is famous for laying about in her underwear in a hotelroom in tokyo. What a claim to fame…

This particular 13 year-old was pissy about ROBERT REDFORD'S directing and throwing her (admittedly, nice) tush around. No matter how tumultous my teens were, I was taught to always thank Veterans, hold the door for old people, and to respect my elders! And when speaking of Robert Redford as her elder, her manager should have sat her and her mother down and told them that R.R. could probably blackball her career if he were that kind of guy; he does not seem to be. However, they really needed a reality check and it sounds like she does, too. I wounder if her marriage will last b/c Ryan Reynolds is 'supposedly' very spiritual and dann to earth. When I was an assistant to an A lister in Hollywood Scarjo was a nightmare when she invited my boss to anything. She would have her mother call incesently to see if the person would be at her party. One call a day is plenty, five is ridiculous and rude.

A couple corrections here Fae,her two assets are down to much smaller size now that she lost weight and quit wearing pushups and secondly,woody allen replaced her with Freida Pinto so she is no longer his Muse as some call it. Just wanted to clarify those things.Now if she could only learn be a good actress like Penelope Cruz was in VCB,she may have somthing.She should have won an Oscar as many movies as she has done but now I see why she hasn't.She can't act.
