Trent Reznor Trashes Twitter!
Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has left Twitter and since he's never been one to hold back, discusses the evils of the latest social networking phenomenon.
"Yes, I deleted my account and I'll explain why since somehow someone apparently thinks this is newsworthy," says Reznor. "Twitter seemed like an interesting way to quickly reach a large number of people, and people that seem to exist outside of the nin.com world of fans."
He's pretty vocal for hating press!!!
The singer continues, "Then… around the time news broke of my engagement, a faction of troublemakers showed up whose sole intent was to disrupt, harass, insult and incite…In a reasonably moderated community, these people can be made to vanish - on Twitter, it's a free-for-all - hence they flock there. It depresses me to think my art and life's work can attract this kind of scum…if that was your intention you trolling, cowardly pigs - you've succeeded."

There are a lot of haters on the web! This site is a good example! All kinds of people are like "hate perez", "fuck perez", "your a shitty blogger". But its like well…if you feel that way why do you go on his site and read his blogs AND comment them??? It doesnt make sense. Some people have nothing better to do than be negative.

I think he's totally right. Why would someone want to put themselves out there when they have to deal with idiots like that? I truly cannot believe some of the things people write online. It is a safe place for cowards to post nasty opinions anonymously, though. There's always a group of bad apples that have to spoil things for everyone!

Don't f*ck with Tren, Mario. Seriously. I had a home-tape of his made by a secret older boyfriend who was a DJ. I had his first album for 3 months B4 anyone knew he was. Did you know that when he first got started, because he was cash-strapped, he wrote the lyrics, sang the songs, and played all of the instruments, then edit it all together. And there you have the "Head Like a Hole" CD. Can you do that? No, you can't, so just stop trying to stir the pot, okay? You've already got so many ghost writers that there's too many cook's in the kitch to stir anything!

I like Trent Reznor. His music is amazing and it's almost sad how many of your don't even realize that since you're so stuck on Lady GaGa, Britney Spears, Slipknot, and whatever else all you lames listen to.
Re: DANNYGLOVERSDICKBLOOD – Ministry, Black Flag, Danzig, yeah, all those guys were out there already. They were great and they weren't getting any play. But, come on, Trent is ridiculously talented. That first CD was complied, played and edited by himself. That's impressive. And have you ever seen one of his concerts? Backstreet Boys comparissons? All 3 of his concerts I attended (all in the mosh pit) had people phyically hurt from working themselves up so much. I saw two broken noses and three cases of cracked ribs. You would have probably laughed your ass off trying to watch me, this tiny girl, trying to muddle the hell away out of a mosh pit I got stuck in. Yeah, I think Ministry and Black Flag are way harder, But I don't agree with your comparisson. To this day, my favorite song is Danzig's "I don't Mind the Pain." Which is oddly ironic but also an entirely different matter.
But I do like you taste in music!

Just children of the hippies who wanted to be rebellious like they're parents were, only we didn't have a war to protes; although we did do a lot of petitioning and sit-ins and picketings for the Prisoners of War, still in Vietnam. But musically, there was NOTHING emo. You were either preppy (barf) or a drama kid, or a grunge kid, or the all-in-black kids. And B4 you get too excited about the all-in-black thing, they didn't mostly dye their hair black, nor did they wear their hair on their face to the point where they could not see. No, those people were Wiccans, Druids, or Pagan's. The underground of the late 90s - particularly in England was real. No playing dress up Goth just for Friday night, no throw the flannel shirt in the closet until the weekend- nothing like that. And I'm not even going to get into the horrific drug use.
Trent Reznor is insanely talented, and I saw him in June…best concert in my LIFE. I have loved his music and respected him for 17 years. But his behavior has been erratic lately. I can't imagine the pressure that he faces, but his reactions have been immature for a man of his experience and age. He needs to stop shitting on the people who pay his bills.

He is acting erratic, but he's been at this for so long now, I think part of him wants to bow out gracefully, but the musician in him still needs an outlet. And now he's engaged, his life is going to change drastically - possibly even w/ the possibilities of fatherhood. I think maybe he feels like he's living in a little microcosim with all these different forces and opinions making his world smaller and smaller, yet more and more public. I think I'd be screwed up to. I hope that when this all dies down everything will be okay. And your welcome to come catch any show with me anytime! We'd kick ass.

It felt like you could touch him, he was all in black leather (Sleevlesssss) and he was so into his music that, some will say this is gross, put his sweat would actually hit you once in a while.
