Horrendous Storm At Canadian Country Music Festival Kills One And Injures Many!!

One person has died and 40 others have been injured due to the collapse of a stage at a country music festival in Alberta, Canada, on Saturday!!

Awful!

By the time actor Kevin Costner's group Modern West hit the stage, the storm was in full force.

The main stage at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose fell victim of heavy winds and rain and collapsed while Nashville's Billy Currington was in the middle of performing.

"I can't describe the sky — it was brown and purple and green," said one witness. "The massive wind blew me backwards."

The peaceful country music festival soon erupted into chaos!

Another witness described the terrifying scene: "It felt like bombs were going off around us in this concrete and steel building. Huge hits of power hitting the building, and then the lights were off."

So scary!!!

No word on whether or not the Big Valley Jamboree will continue as scheduled through Sunday night.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victims of the storm.

Stay strong!

Update: The festival has been cancelled on Sunday.

My love and prayers goes out to all those affected!

Funny this is about Kevin Costner i have watched the bodyguard quite a few times this holiday and i think that it is actually good. although i think it mainly because of whitneys singing which i love although she is a bit of a diva, with that voice who could really blame her.

Re: DJ_Gossip – A woman who had come to see the show with her friend died.

This is our future… Cheap labor builds these structures and you get what you pay for. I understand the economy is in poor shape. But in order to have homes, buildings, structures built correctly, we need to hire people who are skilled. Skilled people cost money, but I'd rather pay to live than pay w/ my life.

Re: TMC1312 – - As a Camrosian, and personal friend of who runs this event I take offence to this comment. This festival has run successfully for the past 17 years. I'm not sure where you are from, but this is Alberta weather. The storms come up quickly and often without much warning. The stage was hit with tornado like winds along with debris. I beg to ask how the economy has ANYTHING to do with this tragedy. I was there personally and can garuntee you it was an unavoidable tragedy.

Re: BOOMBOOMPOWrez – You gotta be a pretty low-life piece of shit to wish death on someone you don't even know! And claiming you're not a racist asshole? Everyone on here can read what you've written an can beg to differ! You've offended quite a number of people with your comments and made one apology for using a racist word like Kike. You are the most ignorant imbecile I have ever come across because most of what you say is ridiculous and downright stupid, it's clear you're uneducated.
Also Dirty Old Man you're right up there with him but since you didn't tell me I should have died when the stage collapsed with me on it I'll leave it at that…
