Daniel Baldwin Responds To Restraining Order Claims

Earlier, we posted that Daniel Baldwin was being accused of harassing the family that formerly employed his niece. The woman, Helen Smith, went to the courts to request a restraining order to keep Baldwin away from her family.
It has taken only about an hour for Daniel to throw together a little statement to defend himself. Here it is:
"I am left with no option but to respond to the allegations that have been presented to me this morning. My God child Jennifer Keuchler was fired from her nanny position and not compensated for her pre-negotiated time by Greg and Helen Smith. I reached out to Greg on his cell phone last week and explained that Jennifer had given up her apartment in San Francisco to come to Malibu for the summer and take care of his two small children. He assured me that he was fully aware of his financial obligation to Jen and would pay her by the end of the week. I am sober for some time now … The Smith's did not pay Jen the money that was promised her. They have chosen to stiff her for over $2500. I am sad that they have gone on the offensive with such erroneous accusations against my character. Yes I called Greg and left a message stating the facts. I am VERY concerned for the welfare of their children if Greg is traveling and they are to be left with out additional supervision. It is my intention to let the courts settle any differences between us and I will pray for them all, especially those poor kids."

No recovering addict would throw that woman under the bus like he did. He is an asshole, although I enjoyed him in Gray Gardens. He was a total dick on Dr. Drew, and left for home to be the then pregnant mother of his twins. We learned later that he left after he propositioned Mary Carey and was found out by her showing texts of him wanting nude photos of her. YUCK
My guess is that they're hoping for a payout, he knows it….he got overly aggressive and angry, they're milking it.

I'd guess there's truth and lies on both sides….the people probably did screw his god-daughter out of money…I'll bet they knowingly did it too….and of course someone in her family will stick up for her! They're now filing this because they assume they can get money from the Baldwins…public opinion knows his brother to leave angry violent phone messages, so why not him?
Re: anniegirl – No joke!!! He was so volatile on Dr. Drew, he clearly has anger managment issues. He makes me think of an adjective I haven't used in a while smarmy.
Stiff a Baldwin for agreed upon cash, and risk that closet door being opened and all of your skeletons falling out publicly.
I think the Baldwin boys are capable of getting really ugly.

I think if it goes to court, the Smiths will lose. If they said the nanny did the harassing, that'd be grounds, but because they say it was her relative, they still owe her the promised money. Also, by making any statement about why he may have sounded the way he did, Helen Smith may have opponed herself to a lawsuit from Daniel Baldwin. You don't go spreading that stuff in public. At least Perez has freedom of the press behind him, when he lies in public.
The Baldwin brothers are so nasty & they are always bloated. It like every night is beer & wing night for these hogs. Obviously they are not very nice either, we are always hearing something negative on one or the other.
WTF? What is all this fussing about? If all he's done is make TWO phone calls… then a restraining order is a bit of over kill isn't it? And if the former employers stiffed the poor girl out of $2,500…. why should she get away with it. Baldwin is right. Let the courts settle it all. I will pray for everybody involved. And maybe sacrifice a goat to Jupiter Optimus et Maximus. For peace now.
