New Moon Stars Talked About Fired Vamp
Twilight fans are still in an uproar about the abrupt firing of Rachelle Lefevre, who has played Victoria in the first two installments of the Twilight series.
Not much has been said from the cast, probably from fear they will suffer the same fate. (Honestly, only the Holy Trinity Of Twilight is safe at this point.) However, a few of the cast members talked briefly about their sadness over the events that have transpired. Judging from their remarks, it's very clear the studio is putting a heavy lean to keep quiet about the whole thing.
Among them was Peter Facinelli, who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen, who admitted that he'd "rather not comment" because of his friendship with Rachelle and his relationship with Summit, but that he was surely "saddened" by the controversy. With mediocre enthusiasm, he explains that he will embrace her replacement Bryce Dallas Howard and he hopes that fans will do the same.
At the same time, he still couldn't deny his unhappiness with the situation, saying "But again, I'm deeply saddened that Rachelle is not going to be in Eclipse."
Also among the cast members to speak out was Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper Hale. He also said he was unable to discuss the "business side" of the situation, but also admittedly felt upset from losing his friend and co-star.
Adding, "I would love to work with Rachelle again. I'm really sad that I'm not going to get to work with her on the final film of the franchise we started together."
Our question is will R-Patz, K-Stew, or Tay-Tay come out and say anything in Rachelle's defense? Or has money blinded them from camaraderie?

That suck's the 3rd movie would be weird ’cause replacements are never as good as the original.
That movie made plenty of money and they sequels will do the same. They could have paid her her fee, it's not like she is Reese Witherspoon or Julia Roberts, getting 20 million a film! Her character does not recur after Eclipse so what is the big deal? They could have been a bit more accomodating to her schedule…10 days, really not a big deal if you want to keep the same energy flowing through the films!

Victoria's role in Eclipse isn't really THAT big to warrant a big pay-day cheque so I doubt it's over money. Money is just a get-out clause for any 'behind-the-scenes' crap we don't know about.

Bryce's career started years ago with "The Village" in which she gave an excellent performance. Frankly, being in a movie like this is a step down for her.

Re: dancer006 – Summit apparently didn't even give her the new schedule for filming Eclipse until after she had already signed on to the other movie. And even if she knew in advance, it really shouldn't make a difference, it's only a conflict of 10 days, and there is no reason why they couldn't have used those 10 days to film scenes that she isn't in.
Personally, I think they should have cast Rachelle as Rosalie and Nikki Reed as Victoria? Wouldn't that have been sooooo much better? But anyways, I love Rachelle!! I wish Summit wasn't full of jerks

Like any of this matters. The first film was G*@ awful, and I'm sure the rest will blow just as bad. The only reason these things made dime is because of all the Twi-tards that read those crappy books. If this movie had been released, without being based on these books that already had a following, it wouldn't have made dollar one, and would never see the light of any sequels. These people couldn't act their way out of a paper bag, and are all replaceable. Crap is crap, no matter what face you put on it.
