Shia LaBeouf shocked guests at a charity event in Los Angeles when he wrote a hefty check for $10,000.

Attending the Riders for Health auction - an organization that delivers healthcare to rural villages in Africa via motorcycle - the actor bid on a 3,000 dollar hand-painted racing jacket and a 2,500 dollar helmet among other items.

Why, because he wrote a check for some stuff he wanted anyway? I would have been more impressed had he donated the money and not received a hand-painted racing jacket or a helmet (among other items) in return for his $$. I would have been VERY impressed had he donated the money and not received media attention for it….but then…I wouldn't have heard of it….and then really, what's the point? Right Shia? WHAT A NICE GUY OMG!!!!

I dont follow current celeb infatuations, but I like him! H's down to earth, real, open, and is obviously your regular jeans and a tee kinda guy and yet a box office winner. He luves his fam, his ease of living, and is openly human, young, yet such an old soul. I think Shia is awwwesome!
