Abdul Leaving Idol! Paula Speaks About Bitter Departure!!!!
The entertainment world was stunned Tuesday night when news broke that Paula Abdul will not be returning to American Idol this coming season.
The judge was unable to come to financial terms with the show's producers about her return.
Abdul just took to her official Twitter to talk about her departure from the #1 show in America.
She says:
With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all..Cont'd…
I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent,but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.
What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me
It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month
I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all
We are genuinely in shock!
Did. Not. Think. It. Would. Actually. Happen.

It sucks! Well, I can't blame her tho. Fremantle and 19 been trying to use her as a DOORMAT about this contract thing.

But then the other night, I read something about a former employee of Fremantle saying that Fremantle treats their employees (or some in the company) like dirt. So, karma may be knocking on Fremantle's door and American Idol, unfortunately may be paying the price, anyways.
This is very disconcerting news.

Don't cry too hard. She will probably get picked up as a guest judge by Nigel Lithgoe on the "Dance" show. I think she knew when they brought Kara on, that her days were numbered. You can't be a drugged out mess on live TV and get away with it. The other thing Perez, and I am really surprised you missed it, is the barely covered up scandals between Paula and her eye for the boys. As in contestants. Paula's shiteous dance production number was her swan song. She knew it was over by then. SHe asked for a lot of money so that she could walk away with her ego intact. Make it look like it was a salary issue. But Paula got fired.
She is so dumb. I would take whatever money they are offering and be happy with it.

It was pretty obvious she was leaving. This really seems to be PR driven. It's amazing she wasn't fired since she had appeared on air high/drunk a number of times over the years. Personally I found her irrelevant and annoying. Good luck to her.
Didn't you see this coming, Perez? When dizzy Kara was brought on the show that was a telltale sign. Simon conived to get rid of Paula, "testing" Kara first to see how she would do. One thing she did was write that awful song. Won't be the same without Paula.

I cannot belive all the idiot sympatheic messages on her for that fruitcake. Hello….she was NOTHING before Idol came along. She had NO CAREER, made no money and no one remembered her anymore. She became famous on Idol for being an idiot. Yeah…great judge! NOT! Her comments were so stupid and full of fluff. She can never be real and give the contestents the honesty that they need. And the shit between her and Simon? SO ANNOYING! I was getting pissed last season because the two of them turned the show into a joke. Act like a goddamn adult and not some pathetic, weepy, spoiled rotten child! She killed her career with this move. Ryan is worth the $ since he's a marketing dream. Plus he produced a lot of shows now…he's earn them more $. Simon created the damn thing so of course he's gonna get a huge payday. I don't see Randy complaining and whining.
