What a relief!
To recap - early this morning, we heard the terrifying news that 54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins, a man who was convicted of stalking and threatening Madonna, had escaped from a mental hospital in Norwalk, CA.
The LAPD were describing the man as follows:
"…A very psychotic man when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies."
Now, we're VERY happy to report that the Los Angeles Police Department have captured Madonna's very dangerous stalker!
The LAPD announced that Hoskins was found around 9 a.m. this morning "not far from the mental facility from which he escaped."
He's currently in police custody and he's being escorted back to the hospital.
We're just glad that nobody was hurt while this man was on the loose. We're ESPECIALLY glad that he wasn't able to get close to Madonna.
Great job, LAPD! We're very pleased and impressed!

geez perez, he has been the president for less than a year he can't get everything done at once. he became president during one of the hardest times in recent years. I fully support gay rights but I also understand that he has some other serious issues to deal with. Also instead of blaming it all on Obama you should also focus on others who approve policies and laws, even if Obama does what you want he still has to have the approval of others who are not so open minded about gay rights.

it's foolish to expect significant change to come overnight, or even within the first year. i know it's a frustrating battle, but really, give the guy a break. he has SO MUCH on his plate that he's trying to deal with all at once. everyone wants a piece of him. and i do think he's trying to deliver. but have a little patience and some sense of understanding that he's not superman, he doesn't have a magic wand at his disposal. and you have no idea what he has planned, or what's already in the works behind the scenes.

But you also have to realize that other things are happening, also. The economy is just one of millons of issues that have yet to be adressed. And I, being gay, have to agree that gay marriage is important. But as a sane person, I also see the urgency of rebuilding your economy. One last thing, I take offense to you calling gays fools.

I find it odd how even though President Obama has only been president for less than 7 months people think that all of these issues would have been solved by now. I'm all for gay rights and same sex marriage but there are other things going on in the world that have to be dealt with first.
Well… It seems as if the homosexual community has their priorities in order. We're in the midst of a recession, the economy is currently on a downward spiral, we're still licking our wounds from 8 years of White House foolishness, and the man we've placed our trust in has yet to be in office for 12 months. So of course the homosexual community would turn their backs on him. I mean, the day after he came into office, homosexual marriage wasn't made instantly legal. And the homosexual community wasn't given the same rights as everyone else. Of course. It makes perfect sense, and it isn't silly or impatient. It isn't ignorant in any way. I say we impeach him. I mean he didn't change everything within his first 100 days. I mean, who cares if you couldn't afford a marriage do to the fact that there's no jobs - he didn't make that available anyway. I mean, who cares if unemployment is continuing to climb and IT professionals are looking for jobs at mcdonalds to make ends meet? They don't have the same rights.

Obama inherited a steaming pile of shit from the Dick and his Bush so please be patient. This issue will ultimately end up in the Supreme Court where it will be ruled discrimation. It is a violation of the Bill of Rights not to be able to "pursue happiness". The Bush administration knew this which is why they tried to have the Constitution amended to "define" marriage. There's a global economic crisis that has highest priority right now. Without jobs, food and homes there won't be any benefits to claim anyway.

Note: marriage is an issue that, under the constitution, is the responsibility of the individual states, NOT the federal government, which includes the president. I love the gay community, but they need to be petitioning individual states, NOT the president.

It's amazing that people supported him at all. He said during the campaign he did not support gay marriage. He also told Israel that they should begin nuclear disarming when he has apologized to Iran for the US, when Iran's leadership said they want to destroy Israel. It is amazing that a man who got elected by the GLBT community and the Jewish people in this country and in six months has turned his back to both.
