That's what you'll be hearing from now on when you enter your local mall and go searching for RadioShack. The store has decided to rebrand itself with a new name. Now, it will just be known as "The Shack".
Considering we can't think of anyone whose bought a radio in like five years, we think this is a decent idea. You don't want to be an electronics store associated with outdated technology.
Expect to be bombarded with ads about the change over as early as Thursday.
Are U cool with the name change? Do U even care what they decide to rename their company?

Pizza Hut is The Hut, Now Radio Shack is The Shack. and who cares either way, they're both outdated places that no one steps in.

Sucks, almost as bad as "The Hut" Should of come out with an entirely new name. Just like Pick N Save turned into Big Lots.
I wouldn't care if they changed their name to "Overpriced and Uneducated". It would be a little more honest than "The Shack". Although it's the only place a geek can pick up some resistors and capacitors to build themselves a realistic Star Trek communicator…
To clear it up, the 'real name' of the store (and the signs outside) will still say RadioShack. The ads and the signs inside the store will say The Shack. And it's not called RadioShack because they sell radios, it's some weird WWII army thing, haha, who knows.
Great idea! I hear the ads are pretty good and pretty short, so the bombardment shouldn't be too painful.

AHAHA - so funny. My roomate works there and she told me this just yesterday. I was said "Oh great, first 'THE HUT' and now 'THE SHACK'"
I haven't thought about them in years. They're always in the top 10 anti gay companies, so I've gone out of my way to make sure I'd never have to shop there.
The Shack…hmmm…why not? It's not like 'RadioShack' was getting them anywhere, for the past decade. I'd shop at The Shack over a dinosaur venue.

I think this is a great idea. I have been going to "the shack" for years now. They actually have the best prices on cell phones(i always go there for my new phone). Plus I can always go back and get real help from someone who knows what they are talking about. Better than those huge box stores where they have to walkie-talkie in order to help me.
Nope, don't care. I've never bought anything from them, my go-to tech store is Best Buy.

I work for RadioShack, and it's stupid fucks like you that make me hate my job. How can you not know RadioShack is still in business, or how can you not have seen one since the 80s? There's literally only 6000 of them around. Are you admitting to spending so much time up Perez's ass you don't leave the house?
And you know what else? Our cables are more expensive than Walmart's, because Walmart's cables are shitty. Don't come in my store and bitch me out over that, and don't pull the haughty "I'll get it at Walmart" act on me, cause I don't give a damn. Go waste your money on shit cables, and know that deep down, the dumbass who sold you your state of the art tv at Best Buy to begin with rooked you over good, because you have no idea what you are talking about anyway. You way overpaid for something you won't notice, and even if you did, you squandered it by being a cheap fuck on your peripherals.
