Hugh, Mika, Anne, Oh My!
Big news!
First and foremost, Hugh Jackman is now attached to play P.T. Barnum in Twentieth Century Fox's The Greatest Showman on Earth, which will be an original musical with a the screenplay by Sex and The City screenwriter, Jenny Bicks.
Jackman will play the showman as he grows his now famous three-ring circus.
Also very exciting, the musical will have a contemporary original score, and apparently the studio is in talks with none other than Mika to write the music and lyrics!!!
Amazing!!
And, the love interest is supposedly being written for Anne Hathaway (yes!).
This could be gold! Can't wait to hear the final cast and writing team!!

they are both great performers but they are better off apart during his oscar performance he was terrific but the dullest part for me was when anne took the stage with him. she was not great at that or they lacked chemistry or something. but please get someone else not anne hathaway.
This movie will be so GOLDEN!!! I love musicals anyway, and learning that the greatest showman of the 21st century (namely MIKA) could be writing the songs has made me so happy! I hope Mika agrees and does the musical numbers, and I know the movie will be SO great!

WOOOOW. "the greatest show on earth" is really going to be a tough remake… but with jackman as barnum it already sounds great!! I loooooooove that movie! total classic! my mom got us hooked on old movies like that as kids! i watch it all the time!! cant wait to see how it is! hope it's as good as is seems!
