Kate Gosselin has been through hell and back since splitting with her husband and raising eight children seemingly alone, but now we finally get deets on how she really feels.
Jamie Ayers, Kate's best friend, dishes to Life & Style about Kate's life and struggles without Jon.
“It was good for her — she’s lonely now that Jon’s gone,” says Ayer of her visit to the mother of eight.
Although, Kate has no time to take pity on herself. Jamie adds, “Kate’s trying to do more than be just a mom. The kind of stuff Jon would've done. She wants to be well-rounded for the kids. Everything Kate does she does for the kids.”
And the eight kiddies are said to be doing great despite the hardship of not having their dad nearby. Jamie reveals, “They’re doing remarkably well. I’m so impressed. They’re awesome kids.”
It's coping with life as a single mother that has been the greatest challenge for Kate, but nonetheless, she soldiers on.
Jamie continues, “Getting the kids around by herself is proving to be difficult. She’s getting so much better. I was over there just last week, and I can tell. She’s saying things like, ‘I have to do it, I don’t have a choice.’”
Plus, don't expect Kate to emulate Jon's whoring ways!!!
As for dating, “Kate says it’s not something she’d ever consider doing before the divorce is final. Even then, I don’t foresee it being a priority for her. Her goal is supporting her kids.”

Oh yeah? She made her own bed! She was very mean to Jon, what man could take that? She was the one who asked for divorce because I heard that she was having an affair with the bodyguard. They're keeping it on the downlow right now because she wants everybody to blame Jon for the divorce, but there was an article last week that says she actually bought a condo near her bodyguard's home in Rockville, MD. She's lonely coz the bodyguard is still with the wife I bet and she and him can only do the hunky punky when he's at work! How much you bet that once the divorce is final we will be seeing a lot more of Kate and the bodyguard!

give me a break - i was a single parent and while challenging, it wasn't that hard. and alone- please. she has continuous help in the form of nannies, "helpers" and all the crew from TLC. Oh, and lots of money - wish i had some money when my kid was little. Did anyone notice that on the show when she set up the tent, she didn't carry the tents to the camping spot-someone carried them to the place and then it was a highend popup-couldn't be easier. all for the kids -please. i'd believe her if she hadn't sent a friend to tell all media how's she's carrying on alone!

I have to disagree, Jon may have been "there" for the kids, but in my opinion he forced Kate into the role of bread winner by continually changing jobs. Kate, My wife and I have never missed a show, and we love your kids. They are great. We also have twins. I have to admit, as the husband I have more or less sided with Jon. That was up until this whole divorce and seeing his whorish ways. He has turned out to be quite immature, as I have seen in the show. I can imagine why you are so frustrated. I hope you put off dating for several years, and focus on your children, as they are the most important people in your life.

I hated how she treated Jon but i always thought she was a good mom. i think she should have been a better wife when they were together but i dont think she deserves to be lonely. I'm sorry, but every ounce of bitchyness that John got, he deserved. He was a nothing - he did nothing, couldn't make a decision to save his life and had no idea how to keep a family of 8 organized. Kate did EVERYTHING, and she had every right to get pissed. JOhn needed to Man-up a long time ago, but he was too lazy to work at being a man. Everything she gave him, he deserved. This woman is doing a damm good job of staying out of the media and being with her children rather than whoring around. When they are older, it's not their mother they will be ashamed of….not by a long shot.

I can't stand either of them. I wish they'd both just disappear from the public eye. Kate hasn't learned very much from her situation. On Monday's episode she asked Jon what planet he was from. You'd think she would learn that it's stuff like that that led to her divorce and maybe try to learn, evolve and change. I hope no man is stupid enough to enter a relationship with her in the future. She's not going to change.
There's no reason the show can't become "Kate plus 8". I'd watch it. There's no need for the douche of the year.
Kate is a great mother and I'm happy to see that you are starting to realize what many of us avid watchers of their show know about Kate. She does her best and no one is perfect. I think she has kept her word and that reflects in her staying out of the media.
The more I learn about Jonny Boy the more I like Kate. No wonder she had to be so harsh with him. He's a grown man acting like a child. I'd lose my patience with his sorry ass too.
