Rihanna's lawyers will ask that the stay-away order against Chris Brown be dissolved this afternoon at his sentencing hearing.
Chris will face the judge for his punishment after pleading guilty to the assault of RiRi. Let's hope the judge isn't as lenient as Rihanna is.
Her lawyer spoke about today's proceedings, saying, "If asked, we will tell the court that all that's necessary is a level-one order: That Brown not annoy, molest or harass her. No stay-away order was ever requested by Rihanna, nor did she ever believe it was necessary."
Not the best example you are setting for battered women.
We just really hope this has nothing to do with getting back together with Beat-Her-Down!!!

Chris Brown is too worried about getting his reputation back to be of any threat to Rihanna. This is not your average couple down the street, and i don't believe that Chris would ever dream of harming Rihanna ever again.

These two got into such a pickle that authorities had to be called and charges filed. They will have to face the music, and this stay-away order is the absolutely needed music where this situation is concerned. The judge's decision based on long experience in dealing with these types of relationships needs to be respected. If she were the best judge of what's needed, we wouldn't be here discussing it in the first place. She's a talented girl, but she has no business feeling guilty whatsoever here.

Violence is wrong, period. Obviously, if a man hits a woman he is dead wrong, and, if a woman hits a man she's dead wrong. If a woman starts a fight with a man and he hits her back, harder, and she gets the worse end of the deal, then she's just lost a fight. That's NOT abuse!! Ladies don't start something you can't finish. Just because you've hit your man in the past and he didn't hit you back doesn't mean this will happen the next time. I said we do not know what happened. Do you know the course of events that night? Do you know for certainty what happened? I don't either. I believe I also stated that my comment does not justify what Chris did, correct? My comment was really in regards to throwing a loaded word like battered around. A battered woman is a woman who stays in a relationship where there is reoccurring psychological and/or physical abuse. My question was and is do we know that Rihanna is a battered woman?

If I hit someone, I am now opening the door for that person to respond in the way she/he chooses. In a physical altercation, I can't control how that person will hit me back. I can't say since I only hit you in the face once, you must hit me in the face once as well. Physical altercations just don't work that way. So, again, I say men should not hit women and women should not hit men!!

If she hit him, and he murdered her, would that be 'a fight?' The police filed the charges, and note that there were none filed on her. That's because there were no visible marks on him. If he had responded in kind with the same degree of force, they wouldn't be in this mess. Instead, he turned her face into hamburger, plus he weighs a lot more than she does. He is in trouble because he did not bother to control his response, and that there is a big legal problem.
Maybe Chris Brown has been illegally contacting Rihanna, trying to beg for another chance, because he knows his strength is love songs and no one wants to hear love songs by people who beat their women. It'd probably be the only way he can confuse the fans enough to save his career, short of ducking out of the public eye for 5 or more years and then re-inventing himself later. Getting the stay-away dissolved would serve him, not Rihanna. The judge shouldn't touch it. The judge should also deny the Virginia community labor request. Make it as hard on the woman beater as possible, to make sure he genuinely learns from this, instead of acting his way out of it.
