This ain't going to be your Grandpa's version of Sherlock Holmes.
In the flick due out on Christmas Day, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes will have the famed detective and his side-kick sharing more than just a love of mysteries.
They'll be sharing a bed!
Sherlock himself, Robert Downey Jr, revealed that his character gets some homoerotic scenes with Jude Law's Watson. Says Downey, "We're two men who happen to be roommates, wrestle a lot and share a bed. It's bad-ass."
Jude echoed the sentiment, blaming Guy for the change in tone and sexuality. He says, "Guy wanted to make this about the relationship between Watson and Holmes. They're both mean and complicated."
Is it true? Will they play it gay?
Some critics say "no", guessing that the two actors are playing it up for controversy. Some say "yes", as the gay spin may breathe new life into an old story.
How would U like to see it played out?

In Sir Arthur Conan Doyle complete stories of Sherlock Holmes, he states that Sherlock Holmes didn't like women and would shoot an 8% solution of cocaine into his vein. I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle intended Holmes to be gay, but because of society standards at the time, had to use subtle hints. He couldn't come out and say that he was a homosexual. The original Sherlock Holmes is totally butch…and gay.

I saw the preview at Comic-Con and it def wasnt gay at all. Sherlock is all about the girl who trumps him through the whole movie, and Watson thinks Sherlock is an idiot, lol
Looks like Guy is trying to muscle in on his ex-wife's audience, LMAO!!! I've never read the original so I can't say whether any homo erotic feelings existed between the 2, it's kinda cool, but feels very manupulative

Since the first Sherlock Holmes mystery was published there has been speculation as to the nature of Holmes/Watson relationship. Either way it's a movie I won't miss that's certain.

I THOUGHT GUY RITCHIE WAS A BIGOT?,COME ON, NOT EVEN HE'S THAT DESPERATE FOR GOOD RATINGS!.
I don't expect it'll be very outlandish. Ritchie does have to give this film sustainability at the box office. Because of that, there's too much risk of traditionalists not seeing it if there is extensive "gay" content. My guess is there will be a few jokes or glances to make us wonder, at best.
they better keep it like the original
