Chris Beat-Her-Down Dodges Another Bullet, Hearing Postponed
The judge assigned to Chris Brown's assault hearing postponed the sentencing yesterday to August 27th.
The Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg was expected to pass down five years of probation and about 1,400 hours in "labor-oriented service" after pleading guilty of a felony assault against Rihanna.
However, the judge had not received some important documentation about the proposed community service plan for Chris and thus, she could not fully approve a sentencing.
Wonderful.
Keeps him off the hook for another three weeks. Great judicial system we've got working for us.
On a side note, Rihanna did not make an appearance at the court hearing.
Hopefully she stays far away from him for good.

Regardless of what you might think of this person, there are rules and procedures that apply to EVERY CITIZEN of the United States in order to ensure that each person is sentenced fairly according to what is outlined by the law. If the judge in this case is missing vital documentation, the judge cannot ethically or legally sentence him. This would be going against the rights of an individual.
Chris Brown should not be treated above the law because he is a celebrity but he also shouldn’t be treated any less or unfairly because he’s a celebrity.
Get a clue.

It's not the fault of the judicial system - judges have multiple cases to see a day and things to do, if someone doesn't show up with documents they aren't going to hold up the court room for everyone else - no matter how famous the accused is. Things are scheduled weeks/months in advance and you can't slide someone back in on the next day when they mess up.
