Idol Family Talks Paula

It's not just mainstream America that's totally bummed Paula Abdul won't be gracing American Idol contestants with her slurred words of wisdom.
Former Idol contestants who have performed for the icon on the Idol stage are saddened as well. Many took to their Twitters, Facebooks, and news outlets to discuss how they felt about the situation.
Here are just a few:
Blake Lewis (Season 6 runner-up): "She brought a sweetness to the AI that no one can replace. She will be forever our girl."
Kris Allen (Season 8 Winner): "We love you. Glad I was able to be a part of your last season on the show. You showed us so much love."
Danny Gokey (Season 8 ): "I'm really sad 2 see Paula Abdul not coming back 2 Idol. She was the judge with the biggest heart! She really will be missed
The whole thing has many people feeling
Brooke White ( Season 7): "I honestly didn't think she was going to leave Idol. When I saw her Tweet, I said 'Wow!'Sitting on the edge of that stage, you feel pretty vulnerable out there. And when you're getting chewed up, any sort of relief is nice. Paula was that little ray of hope. She cushioned the blows a little bit. Not everyone at home liked that, but I can speak as someone who did sit at the edge of that stage, and to have someone who was concerned and caring helped."
Jim Verraros (Season 1) : "Not having Paula back for the ninth season of Idol is a huge mistake. Paula, I love you and thank you for making me feel worthy. The show will be nothing without you…"
Chris Sligh (Season 6): "I think both Fox and Paula have made a HUGE mistake. Paula needs this. Fox needs Paula. But the show will go on."
Yes, the show will go on, but for how much longer?
We see this as the beginning of the end. First, Paula then soon Simon will probably follow suit. He's already admitted to wanting out.
Randy won't want to be the last one at the party, so he'll go too and then all that leaves is Ryan. No matter who they put in there, no one can replace these judges. They've become iconic.
We give the show two more years, tops!

The show will go on. It has FIVE times the viewers of So You Think You Can Dance, and no one is talking about that shows demise.
Even if ratings were cut in half, it's still a cash cow.

But of course the contestants loved her. Because she would tell them such sweet encouraging words like your grandma Betty instead of constructive, honest criticism that might help your career or stop you from wasting your time in the WRONG career. People love watching a TRAINWRECK!

Finally!!! Simon will actually be able to finish a complete sentance without being interrupted by her babble. Paula is about to find out the number one rule of being an EMPLOYEE… just when you think you can't be replaced, you find out you can be, in an instant.
No more Idol for me, thank you. She was the reason I watched the show. Kara is boooring. Paula and Simon together were magical. It was only a matter of time. I cannot BELIEVE though what they pay Ryan Secrest. They could definitely do it without him. Any monkey in a suit could do his job.
When the rating take a drip they will bring her back.
I say 2 seasons and then she's back to boost lafgging ratings.

more times than not paula drove me nuts, but I would rather see her there than kara. in the end though it really doesnt matter to me . because the only judge i care about is simon. and when he goes then it will be over for me.

This is kind of silly….Simon makes more money because he produces the show as well, and Ryan's salary included other projects. So Paula isn't getting paid as little as the media portrays. This really seems PR driven. Of course the show will go on. Paula will be missed for a nano second and everyone will soon forget.
maybe paula is the only smart one…american idol, really how long is it gonna keep going..the winners now jus get their 15 minutes and thats that..they dont make it big..kelly clarkson was the only successful one, and clay aiken is just known because hes gay

Oh give it a rest for cryin out loud. Simon is not going to quit….he's already said he'll be here for another 2 seasons at the least. Randy won't be going anywhere. He's happy he has a job and is relevant (unlike Paula). You make it sound like she was the only person on the show who made it any good. UGH, she made it BAD. I fast forwarded through most of her crap since I couldn't stand it. I wasn't going to watch this year if she was still on, so I for one am ecstatic the bitch is gone.

i can understand her having "hurt feelings" because simon and attention whore ryan got big raises, but in this day and age, sitting at a table for two hrs a week to tell people how great they look and get paid 8 million for it?!? I'D TAKE THAT JOB IN A SECOND!!! and she needs to remember that ryans raise was part of a developmental deal and simon has many jobs in the company too. all paula has is her qvc line that has nothing to do with idol
