Just two days after Paula Adbul's unexpected departure from American Idol, Simon Cowell has tapped Victoria Beckham for a one-time appearance on the judging panel.
POSH?!?! Really?
Vic even recently admitted about her talents that "I worked hard at it. I was never going to be the best singer or dancer."
That statement doesn't leave us very confident. How is she supposed to judge talent when she doesn't have any much?!
Being polished and well-dressed won't help us turn a deaf ear!!!
And Victoria's opinion doesn't come cheap, as she's reportedly earning £155,000 (over $220,000) for the one-time stint on the competition show.
Although Posh has no definite interest in a seat on the panel for the long term, we'd like to see some prescription induced complaints on Paula's behalf.

I disagree that this is a bad idea. If she is honest enough to judge herself accurately, the likelihood is greater that she can be a decent judge. You don't have to have great talent to know what it is when you see / hear it. People are ragging on Paula, about how she isn't a great singer, but … pfft - neither are Simon or Randy. Neither are Clive Davis or Quincy Jones or most music producers …

Yo don't have to be good at something to be able to judge another persons ability. I can't play basketball, but I can judge talent. Not the best actor, but I've judged plays. Perez is ugly as hell and a prick, but they had him on a Miss America panel.

She was a 5th of one the biggest pop acts ever, she knows what it takes. she worked for years at her singing and dancing so she'd be a great judge. does randy or simon have singing talent? ummm no, it's not abotu talent judging talent its about ppl who know the business judging those who want to get into the business. perez hating on others will just lead to everyone hating you. Yes Posh (hardly) was in the Spice Girls but she didn't actually sing any solo parts. She just did chorus singing and posing on stage. For someone that has practically no talent, she has done incredibly well for herself although a big part of that is due to her marrying David Beckham. If she hadn't then she would be like the other Spice Girls and only in the peripheral of the celebrity scene, or maybe she'd be giving Scary Spice a run for her money doing strip shows and parading about in bikinis and high heels, wearing far too much make up to cover her acne skin…oops she's already doing that!! Posh Spice is a vacuous, skeletal, sour-faced cow. I really hope she doesn't return to the UK…..

You know, when American Idol first hit the air waves & Paula Abdul was announced as one of the judges, I balked at that idea. I grew up during the 80's & remember Paula as a singer, as a pop figure & as an entertainer. And if it wasn't for her dancing, she wouldn't have had the career she did. What kept Paula interesting & entertaining on Idol was her lack of knowledge, her slurred speech; she became a caricature of herself. And we ate it up.
Now with Victoria Beckham, she's a name & a very recognizable face, like Katie Holmes on 'So You Think You Can Dance'. She will bring viewers, but, just like Paula, she doesn't have the talent & shouldn't be judging a "talent" contest. But this is TV folks, & talent doesn't overshadow commerce.
