Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!
So, so cool!

aww, he's tryna be a "serious actor"… i gotta admit, he's not that bad and the movie doesn't look too shabby either. but i'm still not gonna see it.
I see hints of Leo Dicaprio in his perfromance, but in a really bad way. Maybe stick to high school musical…
I'm not going to watch, but I'm guessing it's a snoozefest to you because he doesn't take his shirt off and prance about.

i think the preview could've been better. they didn't tell you anything about the plot, which is annoying. it has potential, though.
The first thing I thought was a young Leo Dicaprio as well…. It is probably one I would rent and watch at home. Not in the theatre though…

I couldn't even finish watching the preview. It looked to boring. Sorry Zac. This isn't High School Musical, you're going to Fail miserably.

it's for those who are into these independent films. i think it looks cute.
first you guys criticize him for being in high school movies, and then when he steps out suddenly that means FAILURE for efron. he'll prove you all wrong in the end. this guy has ALOT of potential, and doesn't focus on his celebrity.

I love Zac Efron but… it is hard to see him in rolls like this. I think that unfortunately, he has been hit with the typecasting curse of only being able to portray a teenage heartthrob!

I am looking forward to seeing it - I think it looks like a good film and I am willing to bet he did a great job. It is important for him to take roles like this to stretch and grown as an actor. I think he has staying power, it shows.

This is an indie, art-house film, and one half of the Poof Pony's core audience, fat trailer-park shut-ins, will have to wait for the DVD because it will never play in the sewers that they live in.

The other half of Efron's audience, elderly, hideous gay men whose entire sex life is made up of imagining themselves laying in bed next to the Poof Pony's smooth body, will show up in force, wearing nothing under their raincoats, the better to play with themselves…..
