"SAMANTHA’S PURPOSE, INC. is a not-for-profit organization [501(c)(3)] that was created by a group of individuals that truly understand how expensive the costs can be for therapy services for children with Special Needs.

The Board of Directors of Samantha’s Purpose, Inc. is comprised of the parents, family members, friends, and therapists of Samantha Marie….an amazing little girl that has been diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. This organization was created with the “passion” and “desire” to truly make a difference in a child’s life.

Our immediate goal as an organization is to be able to financially assist the parents/families of children with special needs, living in the Miami-Dade County, Florida area, with the cost of therapy.

As we become more established and have more funds available, we are going to begin including other forms of disabilities, which do not already have substantial organizations set up to assist their families. We also would like to be able to offer this assistance throughout the State of Florida."

Rosabella, I hope you are not a mother because if you were you'd suck. The reason for this cause is because the government assistance you mentioned obviously isn't good enough, the majority of them have caps. If you were a mother with a child in need, or a person with a heart, you would probably feel as insulted as I do after reading your ignorant comment, use your energy in a more efficient way. These kids need as much help as possible! Lucky for you that God gave you enough health to write this dumb comment. Educate yourself before you comment and look like a total fool.

Thanks for bringing this to light!

Rosabella, thank God for ignorant people!!!!!! I'm glad that you can see the point on this organization!!! Obviously you have no children, and if you do, God help us all!!!! I have been personally touched by Samantha's Purpose, and I can tell you that the struggles a family has to go through in order to get sufficient care for a child with special needs is extraordinary!!! Do you actually know how much it costs for one day of therapy??? And yes, there is help for these children, but limited. And no, not all schools have special education, or it is limited. Have you heard of budget cuts? Maybe you should think before you speak! Get a clue!

I think people need to know what they are talking about before opening their mouth!

I've never commented on Perez's site before but I felt it necessary to do so after reading some ugly, hurtful comments related to organizations such as "Samantha's Purpose". I take it personal because Samantha is my cousin's daughter and she has made such great strides and improvements thanks to her therapies. She is a beautiful human being, with wonderful parents, that have been through so much. And I have no doubt that she will grow up to be a more beautiful person than most of the people I have met in my life!

      (…con't.)
"Samantha's Purpose" helps people who have exhausted the caps that government agencies put on the help they offer and it also helps those parents who don't qualify for any government help because they earn more than the earning limits that these agencies impose. In layman's terms, if you earn a decent limit, you don't qualify for any government help.
(Note: although Samantha's mother and father are actively involved in promoting and raising money for Samantha's Purpose, their daughter is not entitled to receive any financial assistance from the monies that are raised. This guideline is set by the Internal Revenue Service.) They opened this non-profit organization to help parents that are in a similar situation and have nowhere else to turn to.

So, Rosabella, I implore you to educate yourself before making comments that will hurt such a wonderful and worthwhile cause!

Re: Erika1217 – I completely agree!!! Samantha's Purse is an excellent cause to donate to! My brother has cerebral palsy and he has been helped so much through organizations like this! Re: Rosabella – Maybe you should lay off on the sandwiches…from the looks of your picture you could really use the break….

Too bad that Long Dong and Rosabella can't use their energy more productively. I guess they can check off ignorantly knocking a charity and taking time to go on the website of someone they don't even like from their pathetic to do list. Sad.

Re: SheriMoonFireFly – Sherri how are you. Are you alright?

Rosabella: Please do us all a favor and go get educated before opening you big fat mouth. You are truly an ignorant piece of work. You have no idea what it is to have a child with a disability and what us parents have to do day in and out for our children. Samantha's Purpose is a great charity and I personally know this because I like many others donate my time and money to this charity. Sami's mom is one of my closest friends and I have seen with my own two eyes what she does with her daughter day in and day out. Anyone that has a chance to experience this can understand why it is so important to donate not only money but time to such an amazing cause. Honestly, those of you that feel the need to bash and critize, should be given a good dose of humble pie by experiencing what a parent with a child with a disability has to do for one day….then again you are so shallow you could not even handle it for a second. I hope and pray for you that when you do have children, they will be healthy and you will never experience what I and other have to deal with on a daily bases. Perez: kudos to you for taking the time to read about this great charity and making it come to light on your page! Bravo to you =)

Re: qbanita1012 – You are an inspiration! Like I posted before, my brother has cerebral palsy and I love meeting other people that know how important it is to support the disabled community and help out those in need! Keep up the good work!

Rosabella you sick minded individual….. I take a personal offense the stupid crap you wrote…… Whats the matter with you???? some people have written back on the crap you wrote and you don't have the ovaries to write anything else cause you have figured out how much of dumb a** you are….. Samantha is part of my family through her father….. Why don't you check yourself out before you keep writing stuff you have no idea about!!!!

OK…there are just so many things wrong with these comments…starting w/ Rosabella. If you don't know what you're talking about, you really should just shut up. There are many if's, and's, and but's to all of the goverment "help" there are waaaay too many kinds which fall between the cracks for different reasons. FYI to everyone…the average cost of therapy is $120/hr for each type of therapy. And MOST of these kids need a minimum of three types of therapy at least two times per week. We're talking about $720 per week for the rest of their live!!! I don't know about you , but I sure as hell don't have that kind of money and I'm sure most people don't, unless they don't pay their rent or eat! Also…in order to make any money, we've gotta work right…who's going to watch these kids and take them to and from therapy while mom and dad work to pay for the therapy?
And that's just the bases of it…if you let me I can talk for hours…so please unless you know all the facts…please keep your comments to yourself. DO a little research before you blow it out of your ass. :)
