Congrats, girl!

Since being recently dropped released from his contract with RCA, Clay Aiken has finally found a new home.

His new label, Decca, confirms the news to us and released the following statement exclusively to PerezHilton.com:

We Are Excited To Announce…
Clay Aiken signs record deal with Universal Music’s Decca Records. Expect an album in the first half of 2010. Keep checking back for more details to come.

We wonder if it will be more schmaltzy ballads or something a little more pop-minded?

Our ears are waiting!

The title is called "Aiken on the inside"

  5. 5

So much for EXCLUSIVE PH: This was on the Clay Aiken official Fan Club all day yesterday, word for word. No scoop here.

    Invisible was great!!!

    Go Clay!!! Good for him!!

  8. 8

Bullshit that was an "exclusive" statement from Decca. You pulled that statement directly off Clay Aiken's website.

he should get a Josh Groban style. Singing about "reaching the highest mooouuuntaaaiiin" and other inspirational stuff. He should mostly stay away from singing about love, and he's not pop.

don't like him anymore. he bashed adam. he can go to hell.

Wow, signed with Decca/Universal. Congratulations Clay! Looking forward to the new CD.

Good for Clay. Nothing I would buy, but I'm happy for him.

  13. 13

Awwwwww. I love Clay! He's so adorable and his singing is superb. Fuck pop radio. The best artists are on Decca anyway.

  14. 14

Good for Clay Aiken - he's one of my top 3 favorites from American Idol. Wish him the best of luck.

Fabulous news! Can't wait to hear new songs from Clay's incredible voice. And Decca instead of RCA? Better news yet. I trust Decca will promote Clay properly….something RCA failed miserably at. That's why Clay refused to renew his contract with them, regardless of what PH hints happened.

Congrats to Clay! He's a cutie and I love that voice. Universal/Decca is a major label. Looking forward to some great new music from an amazing talent. Good choice Clay!

Re: wilder – I hear ya Wilder. I love me some Clay Aiken music. I can't wait for the new album. I think since his son Parker is one year old now, he should definitely have another child. There can never be enough of Clay's genes spread around. The world needs more. Love him.

He is soo gross looking. I have alway's thought the guy looked like a straight up lesbo.

  19. 19

OMG I CANT STAND HIM HE IF THERE IS SUCH A THING "TOO GAY" FOR MY TASTES

  20. 20

really though…. come on. His first cd was terrible… I don't even know if he did something else. He didn't win for a reason.. plus he dissed Adam Lambert… Not cool!

  21. 21

Great news. Love Clays voice. Anxious for new music.

Lambert fans need to get a life, the guys an ass, ugly and an egomaniac.

  22. 22

This is great! I'm really excited to see what it is. (:
And don't bring Adam into this.. I'm a Clay fan AND an Adam fan, they shouldn't be compared.

Seems like riding on Adam's coat tails to publicity paid off… Not that I would be interested in listening to Aiken, my ears are too sensitive for that.
