Tiger Woods Owes The PGA Tour $$$$

Pro golfer Tiger Woods has been slapped with a fine by the PGA Tour!
Woods publicly criticized chief referee John Paramour last Sunday at the Bridgestone Invitational after Paramour reminded Tiger and fellow golfer Padraig Harrington that they were being timed.
After the game, Woods reportedly said to Harrington, "I'm sorry that John got in the way of a great battle."
A big no-no in the PGA Tour handbook!
The handbook clearly states: "It is an obligation of membership to refrain from comments to the news media that unreasonably attack or disparage tournaments, sponsors, fellow members, players, or PGA Tour."

Get your facts straight….it's already been confirmed that he didn't get fined. I know it's a foreign concept to you, but there are sites out there that cover sports. Check them sometime.

tiger woods is the most heavily fined player in the PGA. the PGA is secretive about this and it is not publicized. He is well known for his f bombs and shouting expletives that don't get aired. they were still 17 minutes out of the position on the 16th tee when they were put on the clock. The officials followed the rules for time alloted to a 'tee'. learn your facts.
He isn't being fined. Plus, he was saying his opponent would have done better. It was classy. He wanted a fair battle. He won, but he wanted to win knowing that his competitor did his best and wasn't rushed. It's very classy.

He wasn't fined, as numerous sources pointed out, this was disclosed apparently by a caddy or someone who overheard him talking directly to Harrington in the handshake after he won the tournament. It was a bold statement by him to another player that he had felt this would be a better competition between the two without the interference. Other players have repeatedly injected that Tiger gets the benefit of the doubt when they don't. Him being honorable enough to acknowledge it directly to another player is a matter of good sportsmanship after a contest.
Could the PGA fine Tiger? Not really, he didn't break any rules. He didn't say anything to the press. If they decide they want to, that's fine. The rules say since he won this tournament he is allowed to cancel his next appearance if it's on the subsequent weekend, since he would have played through a Monday. He'd take the fine, sure.. and he could drop out of a tournament. The fine would have a max of $100k per the rules. Him dropping out of a tournament would cost the PGA millions in attendance, TV ratings, and club revenues. Which do you think they want?
