Yesterday, a Russian woman, upset over not receiving French nationality, threw a ceramic cup right at the Mona Lisa!!
WTF?!? How does that even make sense?

Thankfully, someone invented bulletproof glass, which the painting was encased in, so the famous piece of art suffered no damage, according to a spokesman for the Louvre Museum. And while the great country of France is going to let the incident slide, the art hater will face legal action from the museum itself.
Now, this painting is going to get more security detail than the President, guaranteed.

i had the chance to go to ths louvre a few years ago and the monalisa is behind think bulletproof glass, it was never in danger (in fact, you could barely see the damn painting)

isnt the mona lisa behind a wall and then somehow mirrored somewhere else, while still being behind the bullet proof glass? at least thats what i hear when i was there… who knows. but nothing would ever happen to the painting regardless

This is not exciting news… If you have ever been to the Louvres, you know how you can barely see the dam thing through the thick glass, the ropes surrounding it… and to top it all of, its small… so who really cares? If she was pissed she should have thrown her cup at something that could have been damaged (like pretty much everything else in the Louvres). Break off the David's mini peen for example… now that, would be news! LOL although we coundt tell cause it's soo tiny… LOL
if you've ever been to the louvre you'd know it is quite hard to get close to this painting, it is actually disappointing, so far you are removed from it. So thinking you can just throw shit at it is a FAIL on its own

There was no chance she could damage the painting. Good thing she dind't try that on the other paintings who aren't so well protected. And you are right you can't even see it through the bulletprouf glass. I was lucky enough to see it before it had one.
