Leighton Is Replaceable!

Leighton Meester's prospects of making it in the music business while still acting on Gossip Girl are slim to none! She'll just bee too busy to properly promote and tour a record.

Like last night!

Meester is featured on Cobra Starship's song Good Girls Go Bad, written by Kara DioGuardi and Kevin Rudolf. The band performed the single on The Tonight Show WITHOUT Leighton.

In her place, they had British singer Estelle sing her parts!

For the record, Victoria Asher (aka VickyT, the Keytarist in the band) always sings Leighton's part when they perform the song live, so it's pretty obvious that she is replaceable and obviously it isn't possible for her to sing with them every time they play it live.

I think Victoria should have sang it here as well. Estelle was terrible and messed up the lyrics (unless she did it on purpose, but either way it sucked).

(CS is one of my favorite bands) Also, Gabe is quite capable of singing much better than this. He sings differently in every song. ;D

The lead singer, Gabe, recently had surgery on a cyst and the band's been touring non stop, so he doesn't have time to rest it. That and the dumbshit doesn't do vocal warm ups at all. Estelle sucked at Leighton's part. I can't say I was too happy with this performance.

I waited up for so long to watch this,

and don't hate Gabe, just because he had his vocal surgery a while ago, his voice still changes.

jeez, the reason gabe (vocalist) sounds "bad" is because he had a cyst in his vocal cords.. so after the surgery, he's never sounded the same. plus, they're always on tour so it's not like his voice is well rested or whatever. he's great in the studio, but it's not how it used to be. and he isn't how he is at his shows. he can't curse, he can't dance, it's like bands that play on shows can never have fun while playing. the performance wasn't amazing, but i've heard worse.

just a question: has anyone heard leighton sing live? i wanted to hear if she was decent live.

I love Cobra but sorry babes Gabe you sucked. The best thing about the song was Estelle. I had to force myself to watch it the whole way through which to me is a bad sign. Everytime Gabe sang his high notes it made me cringe. Shame because I've got previous cds..
