Funeral Underway For Eunice Kennedy Shriver
Sad.
Following the passing of Eunice Kennedy Shriver on Tuesday, a public wake and prayer service will be held at Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church in Centerville, Massachusetts on August 13 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A funeral mass will follow on Friday, but it will only be open exclusively to family and invited guests.
Before the service, Special Olympians and law enforcement officials will carry the Special Olympics torch into the church, as the family walks behind the casket.
The ceremony will be available for viewing live on her website.

She was responsible for nationalizing the Special Olympics movement, which is a huge organization today that reaches out to children and adults with intellectual, physical, and cognitive disabilities and provides them a place to grow, build confidence, and socialize with other individuals with disabilities and typical people.

Frankly, I don't give a good dog gone what I look like when I die just as long as I am old and die happy!!! And the good lord finds me beautiful in my soul! Because from cradle to tomb it is't that long a stay! God loves her! That's all we have to be concern with. Peace!

I'm not a big fan of the Kennedy's and some of their politics, but Eunice Kennedy Shriver was an amazing woman and her death is truly the world's loss. I never realized how much Maria looks like her.
