Idols Tour Sells Big!
The economy may be in ruins, but the Idols are doing just fine!
The Idols Live tour has consistently sold 82% of its tickets and grossed $11.2 million, fairing with last year's sales.
Extremely impressive considering that tickets range between $40.50 to $69.50, which runs a dollar higher than 2008's prices.
In the industry, "40% of tickets go unsold," said Billboard senior touring editor Ray Waddell. "They're doing better than average," especially since "these are baby acts on their first national tour, even if they've had the best exposure you can get."
The primary reason for these HUGE tickets sales?
Glambert, of course!
"The Adam Lambert fan base is incredibly avid," said a former Idol blogger. "That dedication is what sells tickets."
And we're sure Kris Allen sells one or two!

God I hate that photo shoot. Can't Idol hire a decent photographer or makeup artist or stylist? Ugh. Anyway…yea. I'm only going to see Adam Lambert. But I'm pumped to see Matt Giraud and Allison Iraheta too.
And out of this 11 million the contestants will be lucky if they pocket 100 dollars per show.

He's a star, not just a singer and that's the difference b/w him and past idols.
Kris and Allison are good too, but they're being overshadowed by Adam Lambert.
Adam is the only reason I went…but i was pleasantly surprised with everyone else. The concert is awesome!

Adam is the only reason I went to my first American Idol Concert this year! He's a hot ticket, and a Superstar in the making! They were all great, but Adam rocked the house!
Honestly the only reason why i ever went to this concert was to see Adam , my first American Idol concert ever, but it was also good seeing the others.
No surprises there, Adam will be doing Arena tours by himself soon enough
In a million years I never thought I'd buy a ticket to an Idol concert. Idol was for mocking while drinking beers, not actually music. Goddammit Adam Lambert, you have made me a fucking Idol fan, I may never forgive you. Although your unfuckingbelievable 20 minutes set in San Jose did kinda make up for it. I really hope hope your Idol-produced CD doesn't suck like most of the past Idols.

I went to the tour and I loved adam and allison sets..kris was cool too.
Allison had a lot of young pre teen/teen fans..glambert did have the most fans though
I bought tickets for the first time ever so I could see Adam and I did and he is wonderful live.

Adam is THE reason I bought tickets this year. I couldn't pass on seeing him live. They really are all great when seeing them live but Adam is on a completely other level. This man could sell out arenas by himself without the other 9 finalist. He is amazing. He holds the audience in the palm of his hand and doesn't let go until the end and when the end comes.. the audience doesn't want him to let go

Adam is the ONLY star on that Idol tour, the rest of them just warm up the crowd. Things have gotten so crazy he doesn't even come out to sign with the rest of them after the shows. He will be a huge mega super star when his album comes out and he is the only one out of those 10 that I would pay money to see.
Honestly, Perez. This is very true. I attended the American Idol Tour concert in DC at the Verizon Center (BACKSTAGE PASSES!!) and the whole arena went CRAZY when Adam Lambert performed. So crazy that I felt bad for the other performers like…what were they thinking? I wonder if they're jealous of Adam's popularity. Oh well…I was among the thousands screaming for Adam. But very lucky to have met the nice guy behind the scenes. Mmm I love him!

i went… and i went for krissss and michael server. BUT after the show i ended up meeting adam and my fucking god, he wears more makeup than anyone in the world. i got to meet michael too, total gentleman.

Tour was renamed "The Adam Lambert Concert Experience (With Brief Interruption From Kris Whats-His-Name and Nine Other Guys) ", sales would be even better than they already are.
I'm an Idol veteran. I've watched every single season, but never been to a concert - until this year, that is. The reason, you ask? ADAM.
