Michael Phelps Involved In Car Crash!!!

The good news is that it doesn't appear that there were any serious injuries involved.
The bad news? He got himself into trouble again!
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Michael Phelps got into a car accident in Baltimore on Thursday evening - and it appears to be the swimmers fault.
Sources tell us that his Escalade was smashed up and he was seen talking to police - barefoot! - on the corner of Biddle St. & Calvert St.
It appears that fishy Phelps hit the car in front of him as he was driving.
And, after the accident, "gawkers started snapping pics of Michael and the car crash and he started freaking out on them, ordering them to delete the photos!"
Calm down, stoner! And LOOK while you're driving!!!
Update: Worse for Phelps!!!!
It appears he ran a red light, thus resulting in the collision!
AND, according to eyewitnesses, he was speeding at over 50 mph!

I call bullshit. I live in Baltimore and I can tell you that it is impossible to do 50 mph down Calvert. The speed limit is 35 and I can tell you that the area is so congested you usually arent even doing the speed limit. Stop trying to make drama when there isnt any. Accidents in Baltimore happen like this all the time in Baltimore when there is a lot of stop and go traffic. Actually, there was a Raven's VS Redskins game tonight so I highly doubt he was speeding with all of that stadium traffic.

Ummm, yeah I live in Baltimore and was down that way tonight for the Raven's game and let me just way it was so crowded and congested, there is no way he could have been going that fast. People just like to over react about everything.
Not to mention, drive downtown Baltimore once… EVERYONE seems to run red lights. Aggressive drivers what can ya do. Doesnt mean he was smoking weed. And Im sure all the ones who accuse him of being such a pot head, smoke weed them damn selves.

I don't get it is Perez for marijuana or not? Hmmm either way probably should pay attention to what he posts next to each other. Oh and thank god Phelps is okay. I think we all have been in stupid accidents before where we did something wrong. Sucks that he is so famous. At least no one was injured. I think I would have cried if I couldn't see Phelp's swim again especially after FINA, which was amazing.

Re: Rodsgirl76 – Actually, I just looked after posting and the local affiliate is also saying that there was absolutely no indication that he was under the influence of anything and that traffic from the game was at stop and go. Though I haven't seen the pictures of the Honda yet, my Accord was rear ended by a Cadillac car and it looked like it'd been smashed at a wall going 100mph (okay exaggeration, but you get the idea). I had a busted bumper and crumpled trunk, but it came to like $1000 in damage, the Jag had almost $14k. I wonder if the Escalade's are as tin cannish?

Unless these eyewitnesses had a speed trap set up, or were in the car with him (and I doubt his passengers would point the blame at him), how the fuck are they to know he was going at least 50 mph? And btw, the pot jokes have already been done, find something else to pick on him about, or leave the damn pictures alone.

The new Prius almost disintegrates on impact in 40mph crashes. So I'm leery to see a photo of a car and judge on it. The dark vid and dark cars make it tough to tell. It looks like the smaller car won the battle and the Caddy got ripped, but I just can't see it for sure.
