Arrested Development Movie Looking Doubtful?!

So sad!
Although the Arrested Development movie was pretty much confirmed, it turns out that our dream of once again visiting the Bluth Frozen Banana Stand, may be crushed!
Executive producer Mitch Hurwitz was hesitant to begin writing the script as he did not know which cast members would return, but when Michael Cera signed on in February, the process was to begin!
"I don't think Mitch is gonna do it," says an insider, who believes that the producer has not begun writing. "It seems like he's moving off the idea. So much time has passed."
Hurwitz has been busy with several pilot projects, including the animated disaster Sit Down, Shut Up and the hopeful comedy with Arrested alum Will Arnett.
We have one priority: Save the Bluths!

I am so sick of hearing about this. Who cares?! The show barely lasted one season…why would they make a movie out of it that no one but a few thousand people are going to see? Do a tv movie reunion for the diehards and leave the rest of us the fuck alone!

Argh, what a terrible day for my favourite television shows.
The problem with Arrested Development is that it got popular AFTER they finished making it. As with Family Guy, they had the chance to recognize this after awesome DVD sales and public perception, and to bring it back to life.
However, by then, the central writer had decided not to go ahead with it.
This is a shame. In any case, they should have resumed the show, not gone on with a film. We needed more on a constant basis.
People still quote this show all the time… and I'll never see Franklin again.
